Imprisoned.
Hopeless.
No chance of an escape, the memories are the cage.
Mouthless.
Silenced.
Powerless to voice the trauma, blamed for their own pain.
Clothing.
Makeup.
Used as evidence against them, as if a shade of lip could ever be an excuse for such horrific things.
Shamed.
Used.
Living with the guilt till the end of their lives, which may expire before they're due.
Victim.
Blaming.
A practice that endangers the lives of those who need to be protected, who are at their weakest moments. Whose cries for help fall on deaf ears and reach prejudiced tongues, who slander and shame the innocent.
Who, by no fault or action of their own, are innocent no longer.
