"Okay, Y/n. What the hell?" Nina comes back from class, eyebrows furrowed as she throws their bag on the bed. The frame squeaks a little under the mattress."What?" You look up at them from your place on your bed, practically the only place you've resided in for days.
She folds her arms. "Nuh uh. Don't play dumb with me. Why are you skipping class? And only Reid's class for that matter?"
"It's only been two days, so technically I haven't been skipping, I've just skipped."
"However the hell you want to put it, but what's up? Did he do something?"
"I just- Friday when I went in, something happened and I would just feel awkward being around him right now."
"Did he lay a hand on you? Because I swear on my mother's grave I will..."
"No, no. He didn't do that. It was- your mom is alive."
"Yeah, but she has her headstone picked out. Kind of weird and ominous if you ask me." They shake their head. "That's beside the point, go on."
"We got into an argument."
"An argument? Over what?"
"It doesn't really matter. I don't like being proven wrong."
"Wait, you're ditching because you're stubborn and always like to be right? Girl, what are you 13?"
You huff out a chuckle. "You're right. I'm being stupid. I'll go tomorrow, I promise."
"Okay, miss faker."
"Hey! I really didn't feel too well."
She flashes you a smile. "Mhm. Want to go get a bite? I'm hungry as a mother fucker."
"Are mother fuckers hungry?"
"Shut up."
You smile and rise from your spot, getting dressed before the two of you leave.
The dreaded day approaches quickly. The dreaded day where you have to see Dr. Reid again. You put on your best mask, acting like you're not nervous and uneasy about seeing him.
The day goes by in a flash, probably to speed up the process of you seeing Spencer just to spite you. Time is a bitch sometimes.
You take a deep breath and walk alongside Nina into the classroom. The classroom where the incident happened. The incident that you've been trying to lock out if your mind for the last couple of days.
Locks can be broken. This is evident as you walk to your usual seat, feeling the sting of hazel eyes following your movements.
You sit down, pulling out your notebook. You don't dare look at his face, but you can tell he's looking at yours. You bite your bottom lip out of anxious habit, and Dr. Reid clears his throat, beginning the lesson.
Your eyes can't help but stare down at the desk. His desk... where your body sat as his lips collided with yours and your hands tugged on his wavy brown locks. Where he made you cum in less than ten minutes.
You shake your head, gaze snapping back to Spencer, looking into his eyes from several meters away for the first time since Friday.
He seems to take notice, shifting awkwardly in his position standing before beginning to pace slowly again as he talks.
The class ends soon enough, and a literal sigh of relief leaves your lips at the words "That's all the time we have for today..."
You stand up, putting your things in your bag. Everyone piles out of the class like a herd of cows.
"Can I speak with you?" Dr. Reid's soft voice stops you in your tracks.
Nina looks to you questioningly, silently asking if you need assistance.
"I'll see you in a little bit," you say assuringly with a small nod.
"Call me if I need to throw hands," she whispers in your ear, causing a slight laugh to come from your lips.
They leave and you and Dr. Reid are the only ones left in the room.
"Does she know?" He asks with a nervous swallow.
"About how you fingered me then kicked me out? No, she doesn't." You say, your gaze cold and tone harsh. That's the first time you've said what happened.
"I- um," he stammers, not making eye contact. "I'm sorry..."
"I just really don't understand how I was so stupid. I somehow got it in my head that you were different, and nice, and ya know wouldn't kick me out and make me feel like shit." Your thoughts started to pout out. "But it kind of seems like you're just one of those assholes who leads someone on."
"I- I'm not. I promise."
"Then what the hell was that?"
"It was me trying to convince myself that if I made you leave it wouldn't be as unethical. I needed to stop myself before we took it too far."
You pause for a second, looking down before flicking your eyes back to him. "What if I wanted to take it too far?"
"Trust me, I did too," he breathes out.
"I get that it was wrong," you say softly with a nod. "But if we were both wanting it and were both willing to keep quiet about it, it's really not that big of a problem. Haven't you ever done something wrong in your life?"
"Not often, no," he says with a nervous chuckle.
A soft smile forms on your lips. "Okay, me either actually."
"I'm sorry. Seriously, you're right. I was an asshole to treat you like that. I'm sorry for everything."
"Well, don't be sorry for everything, you're pretty damn good with your fingers."
His eyes widen and a blush creeps on his face.
You giggle softly at his expressions.
"So- are we good?"
"We're good," you confirm.
935 words finally mustered up some motivation. didn't check for errors so bare with me
