Y/N POV:

After a few hours of stocking shelves, running around and helping clients; I decided to call for a bathroom break.

Even though it is somewhat tiring, I am having a good time. Soos is really helping me out getting used to everything at the Shack; Stan even though he is somewhat really cranky he has been a 'good boss' if I can define him like that; and Wendy...she has been a really cool workmate.

I felt something strange when I saw her for the first time, and it kind of made me hesitate in talking to her for the first time. But now I feel more at ease when talking to her.

After doing what I need to do, I leave the restroom and starts to make my way back to the gift shop.

As I make my way back through the house's corridor, I hear Stan cursing over something.

Stan: "Dammit!"

Curious and concerned, I make my way to Stan's officer, the place from where the voice came from.

I knock a few time on the opened door, to announce my arrive.

Y/N: "Um...excuse me mr. Stan, is there something wrong?" I ask looking at the old man, who was sitting on his desk with a troubled look.

Stan: "What the?! Oh, it's you, sorry kiddo, I didn't see you there?"

I look at his desk and see some papers, which looked like bills.

Y/N: "Are you...in dept, mr Stan?"

Stan: "What?" He asks me confused.

Then he looks at the papers on his desk and pieces everything together.

Stan: "Oh, no, no, no. It's nothing." He replies while collecting the papers and putting them in a drawer.

Y/N: "So...what's the deal? You seem troubled."

Stan: "Why are you so curious?" He asks, suspecting something.

Y/N: "Wha-? Um, nothing. But like...you're my boss, and as your workmate and subordinate I thought it should be normal be concerned over a workmate's problem, mainly because as I said, you're my boss." I reply.

Stan: *sigh*"Right...it's just that...my great-nephews are going to spend the summer with me here. And I forgot that they were going to arrive today. And apparently they will be waiting for me at the bus stop in a few minutes."

Y/N: "So, what's the big deal? Can't you just close the Shack earlier to pick them up?"

Stan: "I mean, I could, but I still got some important business."

Y/N: "Does it involve those bills?"

Stan: "Yeah, I still need to count them before closing, and I got just today to finish it."

Y/N: "Wait, I got an idea, why don't you go pick them up, while I can calculate it for you, mr. Stan?"

Stan: "NO! I-I mean, no. It's better this way, you still don't know all the expenses and everything, so the result might turn out not right." He says, finishing it off with an awkward laugh.

I brush it off and continue.

Y/N: "So...what are you going to do? I mean...I don't think you can just leave them alone at stop..."

Stan: "Yeah...or maybe we can do the inverse of your idea!"

Y/N: "What?"

Stan: "I can get the papers while you get the kids!"
