Chapter 9

Kageyama POV

The next few games went by too quickly for my liking. Not to mention Hiroto started taking the spotlight. Not only were they talking about what happened last year but they were comparing Hiroto to Hinata...What's worse is Hiroto let it all go to his head.

" Come on we need to work harder! Azumane! Come on I'm open! I'll spike that ball like I'm smacking them in the face!" I quickly received and passed the ball to Tsukishima only for Hiroto to intercept it. I gasped and saw him spike it and it got blocked.

" Time out!" I screamed and the referee blew his whistle.

We all got into a circle and I glared at Hiroto. " What the hell was that?! Intercepting a pass that wasn't even for you?!" I yelled at him and he just sighed. " Tsukishima wouldn't have made it either way!" I growled and saw him looking at his nails completely ignoring what I had to say to him. " Quit acting like it's a big deal. Besides everyone loves it when I take the spotlight. Just like the former number 10 did." I felt my blood boil and I couldn't contain my anger anymore. I don't care if we are in the middle of a gymnasium anymore.

" DONT YOU EVER FUCKING COMPARE YOURSELF TO HINATA!!! HE WAS ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS ON THIS TEAM!!! HE CARED FOR HIS TEAMMATES!! AND HERE YOU ARE DISGRACING HIS NUMBER THINKING YOU'RE EQUALS WITH HIM!!! I DONT GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT YOU OR ANYTHING YOU DO...BUT I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO DISGRACE HINATA!!" He took a step back and the whole gym went silent all eyes were on us. More specifically ME.

" Look I'm sorry but you're causing a scene. Just let it go. Hinata is dead...it's time for someone else to take his place and that someone is me!" I felt my breathing pick up even more and then my vision went black.

The last thing I remember was seeing Hiroto's smirk.
