Kageyama POV

We all quickly made it to the hospital and there we were greeted by a male doctor. He looked on edge and motioned us to follow him to an empty hallway.

" We we're finally able to stabilize him...unfortunately...After running numerous tests we found out he has stage 2 leukemia. The built up blood pressure in his skull is what caused the blood to gush out from every available exit it could. As of right now he is in a coma...We don't know when he is going to wake up...but for right now...this is all we can do..."

We all stood in silence for a no more than five minutes but it felt like time had stopped.

A few months passed and still there was no sign of him waking up. It was also declared that we had won nationals by default. But we weren't happy about winning, it wasn't a win unless all of us were here to celebrate.

We received cards and gifts from all the other teams for Hinata. Some even came to see him and talk to him as if he were listening.

Every day right before school and after I would visit him. Talk to him and keep him updated on everything that was going on. Sometimes I would just sit there and sleep by his side only for the nurses to wake me up and tell me to go home. After awhile they stopped asking me to leave and I would spend most of my nights by his side.
