He held her close to him and said nothing. There was no need for him to tell her he loved her, from the touch of his finger tips in her hair, she could feel that she was loved. He did not speak, and she needed no words.

Arlo's P O V

Everything was good in life for me and my girl, till the day the devil stopped at our doorstep. I walk into the living room to find a young girl, maybe a teenager I guess, actually I'm not sure of who is she and I had no idea on what she was doing in my living room.

She rubbed her blood red eyes smudging her mascara and tears dripping down her brown eyes. She was crying and Gia rubbed her back gently. Her bottle blonde hair was a mess, it looked like it hasn't been washed for days. She looked pathetic and my instinct warned me to watch out for her. Gia sat beside the girl and now Gia was wearing a bathrobe over my shirt.

"Ahm, pa. . p... ahmm.. this is Amanda... my step sister", she whispered blinking at me and she avoided using the nickname papi infront of her step sister and I'm not sure why... and a frown take over.

The word 'step sister' makes me furious on remembering my conversation with Amanda's mom few months back. And I could still remember every single word that she said about Gia while she was bedridden and fighting for her life. I'll never forgive her step parents for what they really did to her as I heard stories from Lillian.

Gia's step parents were evil and dark, I wonder if Amanda is going to make out any difference at all. Any person will go for the weak spot of an another person, and that's what Amanda is doing right now. Gia can never stand to see people cry and worry on her presence.

She was triggering Gia's emotions and she was acting as if she was hurt and it made me wonder if she was really the person she was pretending to be or she was just being dramatic. Hold on, how did she even know we are living here?!

"Amanda, just stop crying and tell me what happened?", Gia requested her step sister. But she continued to shed crocodile tears. I don't believe in people that easily.

Whoever she is or whatever she is going through, I'm not going to trust her and my only job right now was to protect my love, I'll never let anyone harm her that easily. I have to question Amanda's actions and motives before Gia agrees to help her, regardless of the fact that Amanda is the evil sister like the one from the fairy tale Cinderella.

"Gia.... I.... didn't... mean to.... disturb..... your life", she stammered between her cries. Whoa..she is great actress I bet.

"No... no. Not at all", Gia tried to console her evil sister while I stand there with a frown on my face. I'm not a kind hearted person, but Gia is the kind that I have to worry about.

She is the type of personality in this world who thinks their role is to give happiness to others and be generous at all times but she is not right every time. It makes her wonderful and a blessing to all who are in her life, yet it is dangerous too. She can't blindly believe whatever the other party has to say to her.

She was like the motor running and working constantly for her step parents, hardly ever taking the time she need for maintenance and refuelling herself. But all they did was suck out her money and energy, not just that but also they insulted her every single time they get the chance to.

She never takes a break from loving people and being there for others.
This kind hearted soul never needed her own kindness reflected back to her. The care she give others never came back to her as care itself sometimes came in the form of cursing and betrayal. But that never really bothered my girl. She rarely took care of herself and maybe that's the reason I loved her for the way she is and I'll never lose her, and she rarely took care of herself that annoyed me the most.
