It Means Everything

Whether it's the throbbing pain intensifying each moment passes or her mind is slowly descending into madness, the confused and angry Aubrey could not decipher the emotions dwelling inside of her.

She used to be a complete nobody; someone who is supposed to be forgotten by the general public. As much as she was known for being confidants with her most treasured friends in the seemingly distant past, that side of her has essentially muddled out and the pink girl cannot ever revert back to her more outgoing and positive self as the current self is less empathetic and cold.

Now... her name is not only known throughout Faraway High, but also across the entire neighborhood. Her reputation precedes the bat swinging maniac wherever she goes and conflict seems to arise whenever she arrives at the scene. To everyone, she is nothing but scum and a menace to society as she is now known for being overly violent, unreasonable, unforgiving, rash, irresponsible, and distant. A complete delinquent, most say... and they are correct to assume so.

Despite the murmurs, however, the pink-haired girl simply does not care and she deals with it by letting the white noises out from one ear and out on the other. Soon, after school, the girl goes to her usual place at the market; the candy store. In contrast to her tough exterior, Aubrey loves on sweet foods to the point that she almost eats nothing else but sweets due to her situation at home. She has been snatching some for herself and her gang of hooligans for quite some time and though successful, there were some close call that results to involvement of police forces.

That's all the in past now, Aubrey mutters to herself while she is in Gino's Pizza Plaza with her new best friends. She sits on her seats with a blank face and an empty head on what to do next. Recently, she has gotten in a scuffle between two long-time friends that most likely might've transpired into a misunderstanding, but it's too late for that. Once it happens, she could not do anything to take back both her words and her actions... all she can do now is look back and reflect.

" Mhm! This is some good pizza! " Angel proclaims as he takes another bite vigorously. " I don't remember the quality being *this* amazing! "

" Indeed, " Mikhael raises his share in earnest, " the taste is simply remarkable and the balance of different flavors are simply exquisite! What a joyous day today! "

" Ignoring your monologue, " Charlene, at her fourth plate, takes another slice for herself plus some carbonated beverages, " you're spot on. I wonder who's the new set of staff members they hired? Their culinary expertise is definitely showing right now. "

" Whoever that new worker is - and I know the current one here is sub-par at his job - should get a raise... like, a hundred additional bucks in their paycheck. " Kim takes a mushroom pizza and gobbles it down like a hyena.

" Eh, I've overheard certain rumors, " Mikhael springs in as if it's his time to shine, " that past customers has actually seen their face and mentioned that this so-called 'newcomer' apparently applied their application here as their part-time job recently. "

" Really!? " Charlene is surprised that people has actually seen their face since they themselves have not witnessed them working publicly. " If it's a hot guy, that person may as well be my type. I do love a person who can make good food, after all. "

Whilst Charlene is peacefully nomming down on some good pizza with Angel and Mikhael [a.k.a 𝑻 𝑯 𝑬 Maverick] bickering about questionable topics such as pet rock battles, bakeries, the decision of being the next leader of the Hooligans and of the like, Kim - the nerdy girl wearing a purple hoodie - and Vance - a poofy man-child wearing a black shirt and a red square-tiled coat - chews on their breadsticks quietly as they both notice that their pink-haired companion is more stoic than usual... distant, even.
