He thought it was just a shadow. But that thought was thrown out the window when the figure started to move towards him. As it neared him, the stranger seemed to be only three centimetres taller then him. By now, Loki had figured out that it was a dog, well a Doberman more specifically.

The wolfdog stayed still, ears perked and tail relaxed, showing no signs or aggression. The Doberman's head lowered as he let out a growl laced with fear and confusion. Loki decided to that growl slip, noticing the dog was probably left here.

The Doberman was a former Schutzhund, Flyball and Dock diving dog. His ears were cropped and his tail was docked, a brown leather collar hung around his neck, the tag seeming to have his name, Ares, but Loki couldn't read.

Loki's pov:
My head tilted as the dog came to a stop, his gaze locking onto me as his cranium slowly lifted. "Who are you?" I asked, earning a soft sight from the other canine, "Ares, you?"
"Loki," I replied, "Why are you here? You don't seem to be a beach dog," I chuckled.
"Lucky guess, I'm not normally at the beach. My owner said she'll be right back but that was like a few hours ago."
I gave him a small nod, "Right, you can wait another hour, can't you?"
"I guess."
