It had been a week since the incident, Loki has been acting distant towards every lifeguard, ignoring their commands often. Ares obediently followed his friend, also turning his back on the people. The Doberman had officially become apart of the force after Maxi continually begging Hoppo to keep him.

The dynamic duo walked along the shoreline, letting the calm waves lap at their paws. In the distance, Chappo was doing a rescue. Loki turned his gaze away, sharply turning around and heading back down the beach, Ares following suit.

Loki's wounds were healing as good as they could be, the deep punctures in his neck were stitched as well as his torn ear to help it heal faster. Honestly, he couldn't care less. The news of the fight spread like wildfire and people often avoided the two dogs, mostly the malinois mix.

Again, the wolfdog didn't care and he actually liked the less attention. He did miss interacting with the lifeguards, it wasn't their fault he defended himself. He felt guilty for ignoring them but he has been doing it too long to stop now.

Loki's pov:
"You know, you can go, you don't have to stick to me," I said to Ares, ears perking when he replied. "I know but I want to. I'm stopping you from getting into more trouble."

I mustered a playful growl, "Sure."

A scream reached my sensitive ears.

no one's pov:

A scream ripped through the crowd. The duo looked at each other before running off towards the source. They got there within seconds to see a man standing by his towel, eyes wide. Loki was confused until he glanced down and saw a Huntsman. It wasn't even that big, he stepped towards and let it climb up his leg. Ares, on the other hand, was like the horrified man, ears pinned back.

The wolfdog huffed with a roll of his eyes. He sent a side eye to the man before trotting off, the spider now resting on his back.

Ares shook his pelt and caught up to his friend, the two heading towards the central tower.

Clambering up the stairs, Loki raised a paw and scratched on the closed door. He waited for a few seconds until the door opened, revealing Deano. The lifeguard glanced down at the two canines before spotting the spider. He gently picked the Huntsman up and let the dogs in, closing the door, opening another one by the bed and walked out. The canines sat and waited, ignoring Harries talking in the radio behind them. Deano returned a minute or two after with a cameraman trailing after him. Both of the dogs froze. Loki had seen a camera before but never this close up. He was the first to get up and sniff the air near the camera. The man behind it moved it downwards, making the wolfdog scramble backwards, letting out a scared bark, Ares copying Loki.

"Have they never seen a camera?" Harries spoke as he had now swivelled around to face the commotion. Deano shrugged, "Obviously not."

Loki stepped forward with another cautious sniff. The cameraman did his best to hold out a treat for him and, in turn, the mix stretched out his neck and gently took it, quickly eating it.
