Chapter 8

A few days later, the man was arrested, the child was reunited with her mum and Ares was officially apart of the boys in blue. Both canines wore matching blue collars with 'Lifeguard' sewn into them.

Loki was currently standing on a rescue board with Maxi. How did he get here? Well...

Loki was laying in the Lifeguard tower, occasionally dozing off but always getting disrupted by beach goers knocking on the door. Maxi had gone onto his lunch break about ten minutes before and had ate. He got off the chair at the front of the tower and told Loki to heel. A quite confused and tired wolfdog obliged, unknowing to what was about to come. The two then strolled out of the door, down the steps and towards a blue Rhino, which held Chappo and Reidy. Maxi said something to the two before grabbing the rescue board, with the other's permission of course, and walked to the water, Loki still following.

Maxi placed the board on the liquid before commanding the canine to jump on, which he did. The lifeguard then pushed the board out a bit before hopping on. He then paddled out, doing his best to avoid the waves, while Loki was slowly going to lay down, ears pinning back. Oh how he hated water. Maxi stopped in a place where the waves were gentle and small.

Back to the present, Loki had stood up to look at the beach, to which he saw Ares, Chappo and Reidy looking at them. Maxi was watching the canine, "Wanna catch a wave, Key?"

The wolfdog immediately turned around, glaring, making the other chuckle.

buuuut this book will be shorter then i expected ^^
