Chapter 16

Sophie's POV

I sit with my bags around me as we all wait for our plane to come. All of our hearts beating out of our chests.

The lady's voice comes over the speaker. All flights to NYC boarding now. We all stand an turn towards each other. I hug Cameron and whisper bye.

Then Tess comes over to Cameron and hugs him tightly while i move over to Jack who is standing there trying not to cry. He meets my eye and gives a slight smile but it soon disappears when he pulls me into a hug.

He held me tightly as if he let go he would loose me forever. Tears came down me cheeks and fell onto Jacks shirt. "Now what happens?" He says looking me straight into the eye.

"If you love something, you gotta let it go." That took so much of me to say, but the truth is I didn't want to let Jack go. He trys to act tough but He and I both know its not working.

"I'll always love you Sophie. I will call every night to make sure everything is okay. I love you." His voice cracked on the last word as tears came from his eyes. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck and he kissed me one last time.

Last call for the flight to NYC.

"I love you." I told Jack as I walked over and put my arm around Tess. "Bye everyone." I said and Me and Tess waved to everyone who was waving back.

We took our seat as I put a earbud into my ear and leaned back waiting for the ride to be over.

I shook Tess's shoulder as she lay dead asleep. She awoke and we stepped of the plan.

Instead of getting a room in the dorm we rented a little apartment close to the college.

We looked around then went straight to unpacking. I think we've been unpacking for about 2 or so hours till Tess complains that she's hungry and we venture out to try and find something to eat.

We found a little Mcdonalds real close so we decided to try that. Tess and I ordered then took a seat talking about the most random things. When the food was ready Tess got up to get it and I just played with the straw to my drink.

Tess sat down placing the food in front of her and rubbed her hands together. "I'm so hungry!" We finished our food talking and laughing through the meal forgeting we were even in NYC.

After we went back to the apartment and sat on the couch with my laptop right in between us as I pulled up Netflix.

Tess fell asleep fairly quickly, so I leaned my head on hers and let myself drift of to sleep.

The next morning I woke up to the smell of bacon. mmmmm. I wandered into out little kitchen to find Tess making some bacon.

"Morning sleepy head!" Tess said as i walked into the kitchen.

"Morning." I some what mumble to her, heading towards the fridge to get some milk. Tess's phone went off and she glanced at who texted her. She smiled and picked up her phone to respend.

"Who ya textin'?" I ask, pouring my milk into a glass.

"Just Cameron." She said putting her phone down and getting back to the bacon. I poured a glass of milk for a Tess too becuase you know she is making bacon.

I got make to the couch to retrive my phone and saw a text from jack.
Jack.💗: How's NYC?
Me: Pretty good we haven't done much yet though.
Jack.💗: Oh I already miss you a lot!
Me: I miss you too!
Jack.💗: Well I'll let you go now, Have fun. ily.
Me: Okay ily2❤️

I put my phone on the charger and walked into the kitchen, just as Tess was placing two plates with bacon by the two glasses of milk.

"Okay who's place are we going too?" Niki says looking over in my direction.

"Fine we can go to mine." I say as everyone else laughs. Me and Tess have been going to the college for about 2 months now and we have made like 3 new friends and that's about it. I know pretty sad right, but I'm happy with them so it's okay.

There's Niki who loves rock bands and thats all she wears is band tee shirts. Her black hair runs to her mid back but her ends are dipped died blue.

Also we have Madison with dirty blonde hair that isn't as long as Niki's but close. She's what we call not the smartest one in the bunch. (clumsy)

And there's Abby who will never get her head out of a book, but usually when we're together she's gotten good at not reading. She's a brunette and her hair goes a little below her shoulders. Now she's the smartest one. They all love to come to me and Tess's place because it's off campus.

Right now we are all walking towards my car to pile in and head to my place. Once in th car we turn the radio and sing terribly to whatever song comes on. Once we pull up we all get out and have Tess unlock the door then we cram inside to see who can get to the fridge first.

I bet your wondering what the boys are doing now a days, well Cameron has a new girlfriend (Miranda) after bugging Tess for so long she had to tell him to move on and find someone better and I guess he did.

As for Jack, he and I still talk and he said that he is talking to a girl but they aren't official yet, and honestly Tess and I are very happy for them. We are both still in contact with everyone else from magcon of course and we factime them all the time.

I pulled out my phone and saw a text from Matt. Me and him have gotten pretty close since I left, weird right.

Matty.😆: Hey what's up?
Me: Hanging with some friends wbu?
Matty.😆: Hanging with the guys and Lily.
Me: cool I still haven't met this Lily!
Matty.😋: Do you wanna ft? She wants to meet you to;)
Me: Of course! ft me!
Matty.😆: kk
"GUYS WE'RE GUNNA FACETIME MATT!" Tess runs over and everyone else kinda crowds around and waits for it to load.

Soon Matt's face pops up and everyone screams hey. "Hey Matt!" I say forgetting that he doeesn't really know anyone except me and Tess. "Oh, this is Niki, Madison, and Abby!" I say pointing to each of the girls.

"Hey girls, I'm Matt and this is my girlfriend Lily." He says pointing the camera towards Lily.

"OMFG I remember you!" Tess blurts out. Then i realized that i knew who it was too.

"Oh hi, I remember yu guess to it's great to see you guys again!" She said equally surprised as us.

"Am I missing something here?" Matt says confused.

"When we were at the mall and got held hostage Lily was one of the girls that was in there!" I said to Matt. Matts face was in shock.

"You never told me that!" He said turning to Lily.

"It never came up!" She said holding her hand up. She smiled and kissed him on the cheek as he passed his phone on to all the guy so we could say hi, but soon they had to leave after so they hung up.

Then the girls had to leave too so me and Tess hung out for a little bit and had a little game/ movie night.
