This is a poem I wrote for a family member of mine.
My cousin was a very quiet and calm baby, so I wrote this poem for him, using this name as a symbol for tranquility

¹There I sat, Skipping rocks.
 The ripples in the pond,
spread like fire in a forest.
 Wildfire.

²Every time the rock hit the water,
 ripples spread out.
 It was peaceful and quiet
 like Jamison.

³Like Jamison.
 The quietest of all.
 Not a person,
 but the spirit of silence.

⁴The spirit of silence,
 Peace and tranquility.
 Jamison, a ray of sunshine,
the flame of hope in the darkness.
 The light of life itself.

⁵A gentle spring breeze,
 helped carry the ripples along.
The leaves of the trees swayed,
and danced to the musical breeze

⁶The grass, a silk green blanket
 perfect for sitting.
 The glade as whole
 was a pure, perfected,
 creation of nature.

⁷Its like the world is
 chaos and there was
 a veil draped over
 this glade.

⁸Not a veil of darkness
 but that of Jamison.
 A veil of peace, silence
 and tranquility.

⁹“Nature's first green is gold
 her hardest hue to hold”
 Unless it is this glade
 nature will fade
 Without the veil
 colour shall fail.
