"look, i know you're young teens, wanna experiment, but don't fuck around with sarah fier," y/n tells the four sitting on the floor, and everyone was now in the living room.
"i'm not letting my girlfriend die," kate demands as y/n and ziggy each let out a huff.
"there's no way to end it! so don't try or you're gonna end up in a meat grinder or some shit," y/n snaps as tommy rubs her back.
"wait, you said you bled on the hand.." josh trails off.
"so you found it?" simon finishes for him as ziggy nods.
"did you.. die, with it?" kate asks as ziggy nods, looking down.
"where?"
"by the hanging tree, it's still there unless someone dug it up," tommy says as deena looks to kate, the two silently sharing an idea.
"we found the body, off highway 5 in the woods between shadyside and sunnyvale."
the three adults looked at deena as she spoke,
"it's not possible," y/n shakes her head.
"no, it's there. trust us," simon tells them sincerely, the first time he'd been serious all night,
"chains, bones, the whole thing."
"that could be anyone!" ziggy says.
"why do you think we tried to kill our girlfriends?" kate asks, scoffing,
"for the same reason they killed alice, your sister."
"the killers came after us because we found something they didn't want us to find," deena continues for kate, watching as the adults looked at them in confusion and disbelief,
"and i wish to god that it never happened, but we found it. we found what you were looking for in '78. we found sarah fier."
"look, please. we.. nurse lane was right," simon says as tommy's resting face turned down,
"we can end the curse by reuniting the hand with the body! the weird, chained, filthy witch body!"
"and we know where the body is, so all we need is the hand."
tommy, y/n, and ziggy looked at the kids, debating for a moment whether they would let them possibly dig theirselves into a deeper hole than they were already in.
"if you won't do anything, we will," deena says as she gets up, her friends following her.

the four dug in the red moss around the sacred tree. they ducked under the caution tape, disregarding it completely.
they all breathed heavily as they looked at the hand before their eyes.
they did it, they have sarah fier. they're going to end it.

"deena, kate!" simon and josh shout as the two girls lock the boys in the car,
"we need to keep you safe," deena tells josh as he nods, gulping nervously.
the two walked towards the spot where sam fell, where y/n was knocked over, where the two girls both bled on the red soil and started the whole thing.
they un-wrapped the sunnyvale jersey, revealing the chains and bones that were slightly stained from blood in certain areas,
"we got you," kate laughs dryly,
"you witch," deena continues.
then they did it, they placed the hand with the rest of the body.
they thought they ended it, but it had just begun.
and there kate stood, next to her "best friend", under a new name in her cute little pilgrim outfit.
