cindy, tommy, and y/n all sat outside the mess hall as the police attempted to get answers from the three.
"you got some kinda history with her? she had a grudge against you or something?" the officer asks tommy.
"no grudge, no. we barely ever talked. i-i go get bug spray from her, that's it," he says, pointing to the nurse's office as he looks at his friends to the left of him.
"it just doesn't.. it doesn't make any sense."
"why would she do something like this?" cindy asks the officer.
"she was nuts, just like her kid."
"nurse lane, she never seemed crazy," y/n answers, shaking her head.
"that's what she said about her kid, but sane people don't chop up their friends. now, tell me again what happened."
y/n then zoned out of the conversation, seeing arnie and alice standing a bit away from her. arnie was rubbing the back of his head again, and his face looked pained.
y/n's eyes wandered a bit more for a moment, looking for her boyfriend and not having any luck. not like it wasn't a surprise, neither of them really made an effort to hang out with the other any other day. especially not nick.
finally her eyes set on him, as he watched ziggy run past him. his eyes were set on her, like she was a huge prize.
huffing, she got up. kalivoda women weren't one to take bullshit. and y/n wasn't going to take nick's any longer.
storming up to him, she dragged him to a secluded area.
"hey babe," he smirked, his thoughts obviously traveling elsewhere, considering their now private spot.
"don't babe me, i've seen the way you look at ziggy."
"ziggy? no, babe. look at her like what?"
"like a pervert and she's a pair of panties."
"look," nick sighs, running a hand through his hair.
"i'm not going to listen to any more of your pathetic excuses. you're nick goode, the boy who gets everything he wants. and you wanted the golden girl of shadyside. but now that i'm no longer that, you spare no more interest in me. and to be honest, i don't have anymore interest in you! especially since you think i'm some toy of yours," she snarls through her teeth, not wanting to make a scene.
