Lucy was the first one to wake up the next morning, her checking her phone.

Rafe: I came back and you weren't home. Are you okay?

Her eyes made her way to Pope, remembering yesterday. She bit her lip, her heart clenching.

She looked at the rest Pogues sleeping, wishing she could just tell them without it ruining their friendship. She looked at the blonde boy, her heart breaking at the fact she had to keep a secret from him.

She stared back at the text before shutting off her phone, deciding to ignore his text.

She stared out the docks, getting up gently so she wouldn't wake Kie. She walked to the docks, sitting down letting her feet dip into the water.

As she sat there, thinking about everything as the others started to wake up. JJ, Pope and Kie left needing to go home and change to get  ready to go to the boat.

She heard shuffling next to her, someone sitting next to her. "What's bothering you?" John B asked.

"Nothing." She smiled lightly, scratching her nose lightly, "I was just waiting for you guys."

"Nah, see you just proved my point. When somethings bothering you, you scratch your nose." The boy said pointing to her hand that rubbed her nose.

She quickly put her hand down. She sighed, looking out the docks, "Come on. Tell me. After 17 years I think it's safe to say you can trust me."

She looked at JB, him looking back in concern. "Please don't tell anyone else."

He nodded slowly, "Okay."

Lucy bit her lip, "I'm- I'm with Rafe."

John B looked around confused, "Wait meaning he's here?"

"No," Lucy cut him off. "I'm with him."

John B thought about it, "oh," his eyes widening slightly in realization, "Oh."

Lucy sighed, "It wasn't mean to happen. I'm sorry I don't want you to be mad at me-,"

"Luc," John B cut her off, "I'm not mad at you."

"Your not?" She asked a smile of relief flickering.

"I can never be mad at you. And you can't help who you fall for." He said, his face scrunching up in disgust, "Even if it's Rafe Cameron."

She pushed him slightly, them both chuckling. "As long as he makes you happy. And I mean, 100% happy, I'm fine with it." He told her.

She let out a breath of relief, wrapping her arms around him, gripping onto him tightly.

After her mother's approval, John B's opinion mattered the most to her. Knowing him her entire life, growing up with him, them helping each other through hard times, his approval mattered a lot to her. And hers mattered to him.

"Thank you John B." She whispered.

"Of course freckles." He hugged her back.
