Misunderstood

The Notebook

Ashton POV-
So today was going to be great. Since I have been here for almost a month I've become good friends with a lot of people. I even have a best friend.
Nico, my best friend, and I are going to have a movie marathon. All night no breaks, well besides to pee, but all night non the less.

First we watched disney's Hercules and laughed till he died at how inaccurate it was. Then we watched The Fault In our Stars. I have already watched it but this was Nico's first time seeing the film. Nico was balling the rest of the night about how much Augustus had to live for.

Nearing about 1 am we watched the notebook. We both were in tears now.
"That was the best movie of all time...but why do good movies make people cry...?!" He cry-complained.
"I don't know but I feel so bipolar right now. I'm happy and sad! ;n;" I start to cry again.
"Come here..." He says blushing a little. I don't notice it's from what he's doing, but notice it as the after of crying.
"..ok.." I say embarrassed.
He pulls me closer so that he can hug me. He starts to smoothen my hair out by caressing my head with his cool fingers. I nussle in closer, cuddling with him underneath the warm sheet of his bed.
We both sigh with content at the same time.
I start to pull away embarrassed from the position we are in but he holds me tighter in his grasp.
"Don't move...please..." He sounds flustered.
"Ok...I won't move then..." Now I'm flustered.
"...Ash...?"
"Yeah..?"
"So I know we are friends and I don't want to ruin a friendship but.... I really like you. Like really really like you. So what I'm trying so say is... Would you make me the happiest 15 year old on the planet and be my girlfriend..?"
"...."
My face was bright red now.
"I'm sorry..." He looked disappointed.
He lightly pushed me off from him.
"Sorry I shouldn't have asked." He started to cry a single tear.
I leaned in and kissed his cheek.
"Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions. I would love to be your girlfriend...:) I really really like you too."
His eyes went wide with happiness.
He kissed my nose and hugged me again.
"I'm so happy you said that."
"I'm so happy you asked."
And soon we both feel asleep.
Percy was going to be so mad when he finds us.
