"I want you to marry me." He spoke in a serious tone, making shivers on my body. I froze on the spot.

My heart stuttered.

"No. Never." I shook my head and threw at him that contract and he caught it. His cold eyes met mine and a muscle of his jaw ticked. Briefly glancing down at my parted lips.

"You will marry me, Rose." He put it on the bed and continued. "You don't want your mom to be fired and live in the streets, right?

After his words, I felt weak in my knees. Tears were falling down on my face.

"Oh, and after all this drama and finding out you are here with me, I don't think the Hopkins family will let your mom continue working there." Ryan knows my mother is my only weak point, and that's why he is using her. After a few seconds, he added. "Only I can help her and, of course, it depends on your decision. So now I am waiting for your answer. Don't make me mad!" The side of his lips quirked up.

A shaky breath left my lips, a squeezing pain shot through my chest.

I am trapped! I know that my mom will be thrown out of Hopkins's mansion. As we have no one, she will be in the streets.

Please God, help me!

...... No one will help me......No one....

After taking a deep breath, I answered in a small voice. "Yes. I will marry you!" My eyes were full of tears. I don't even want to look at myself, how terrible I will look.

"Good decision!" Mr. Houston said and smiled, showing his white teeth. He took that document and handed it to me. I grabbed it with my trembling hands and hardly signed it.

Now I am officially Mrs. Houston, his wife!

Only 18 years old and am already married.

My throat tightened, causing me to ball my fists.

"Finally!" He spoke in a loud voice and suddenly hugged me. A gasp slipped through my lips at the electricity that ran in waves into my veins. I felt his breath on my head. He was inhaling my scent and goosebumps appeared on my whole body. After a few minutes, he let me go, not before kissing me on the forehead.

"S-sir, please, can I call my mother? She will be worried." I stuttered, and his cold eyes moved to my face. For a moment, I saw guilty in his eyes, but it vanished quickly. I gulped, waiting for his answer.

"First, call me Ryan as I am your husband and, of course, you can call." He took out the phone from his pocket and handed me. "Call your mother on my phone. Tell her you ran away with me and willingly married to me. I will leave alone, but don't do anything stupid!" He warned me and left the room.

I looked at the phone. What will I say to mom? About my disappearing? I have never lied to my mother and now I have to.

I dialed her number and pressed on the call. After a few seconds, she answered.
