"Armani" I said turning around to face him.

"Yes?"

"I cannot tell you not to be angry, but do not allow that anger to consume you. Anger is one of the hardest emotions to tame, and if you cannot control it. It will control you" I said.

"Now go watch some TV"

I braced myself on the counter, noting that I cannot begin cooking while I'm this filthy. My thoughts were going at such a fast pace I was unable to keep up.

"Are you going to tell me who this kid is, and why he is here?" I heard Michael's voice from the kitchen entrance.

"His name is Armani, he's ten and has an older brother. That's as much as I know if I'm being honest"  I ran a hand down my face in frustration, knowing full well that I could be charged with the abducting of a minor.

Michael looked at me expectantly, and I knew he wanted the entire story, so I told him how Armani helped me escape and how we ended up here.

"And this kid thinks his brother can help? And you believe him? G, every little kid thinks their sibling can save the world" he rolled his eyes.

"For Goddess' sake. Your brothers think you're the greatest being to walk this planet." He was furious at this point and I could tell.

"And I am, am I not?" I chuckled but he seemed less than amused.

"Calm down Michael, if his brother cannot help. I'll figure this out like I always do." I said patting his chest.

"Now I'm going to take a shower and get started on dinner. You know you're always free to go, this is my problem not yours" I said walking away.

"And you know I won't do that Genesis."

"DINNER" I shouted for Michael and Armani.

I still haven't gotten an opportunity to think all of this through but that shower and cooking really helped relieve some of my tension.

Feeling much lighter and freer, I allowed a small smile to grace my face despite myself. I wanted this someday, to be able to cook for my male and pups.

"If I had to wait any longer I would've died" Armani stressed, eagerly picking up his fork.

I watched him as he ate, picking around my food in the process. I didn't want to lecture him, but his seemingly trusting nature doesn't sit right with me. I've been in this pack for about a day and he has already chosen to help me instead of his pack mates that he has known for years.

And while trusting me saved my life, if I were anyone else it would have endangered his.

"What if I poisoned you?" I asked.

Both heads snapped up to meet me from where they were ravishing their meals. Men.

"What?" Michael choked.

"Not you Michael" tilting my head to the side I regarded the boy.

"Me?" He asked looking at me with curious eyes, mouth filled with vegetables. I nodded.

"Why would you do that?" He continued eating without a care.

"You don't know me Armani. You left with a stranger, to her house, eating her food. Do you have any idea how dangerous this is for you" my voice was firm, trying my best to get the intensity of the situation across without scaring him.
