Keeping it

As I was walking to try and find Jake, I looked at the clock and saw that it was time for me to give Kamryn her meds and feed her. I walked into Emma's office so I could sit and have some quite time to get Kammie all situated. After she took her meds like a champ, she started smacking her lips knowing what came next.

"Are you hungry?" I giggled getting her ready to eat.

I covered up with her little bumblebee and butterfly nursing blanket while she ate. Sitting and feeding her, I had time to think. I guess maybe I didn't recognize Josh as Marley. I saw his brothers in him.

I guess I know how I didn't see it, he had the same 'Puckerman' nose and Jake and Noah did, but that was really it. His personality still reminded me of Marley, and the soft side of Jake that only a few people can bring out.

"Hey gorgeous," I heard Jake say, poking his head in the office.

I looked up at him in shock, "oh um hey, hi. Aren't you supposed to be in class?"

He laughed and shook his head, "I'm protesting that class on religious reasons. We are cutting apart pigs and I'm Kosher."

I raised my eyebrow in confusion, "you aren't Kosher?"

"Well they don't know that," he laughed sitting down.

Go. Jake, you need to leave before I burst out the fact that you have a brother. Go before I just tell you without having a plan on what to say. Please leave so I can be with you and not running a glee club while you process the fact you have another brother.

"Ha... I guess you are right."

"Are you okay?" He asked, his voice suddenly worried. He put a hand on my back and knelt on the floor.

I kissed the top of his head, "yep, just tired." I kissed the top of Kammie's head, "she's even more of a snuggle bug when people get loud in the class. Did she have fun with you in your math class?"

"Oh. My. God. Emily," he said dramatically. "High school girls are baby crazy. They all tried to hold her, I thought I was going to have to murder someone."

I rolled my eyes and laughed. "Well, she's done if you want to bring her to English until glee club. She will probably sleep for all of it."

"Deal," he said, giving me a quick kiss on the lips. "See you in glee!" He yelled, carrying an almost sleeping Kamryn out of the office.

"See you in glee," I said in an attempt to match his enthusiasm.

Once he left I looked up at the ceiling to try and stop myself from crying. I wasn't lying to him, but it felt like I was. I was going to tell him in less than three hours. I'm actually doing this to help him. It would be better and easier for me to just tell him now and not have to worry about it. But for him, it would be better if I told him at home. That way, he could react and feel his feelings in a safe place.

I zoned out, thinking of what I was going to say to him in two of my classes until I saw him in glee.

"It's my three most favorite people!" I laughed when Marley and Jake walked into the choir room carrying Kamryn.

Kammie loved glee club. She liked listening to all the pretty voices and looking around the room at all the lights.

"There's the pretty baby," Kitty cooed at Kam. "Did you have the most fun time at school today?"

Kammie giggles and hides in Jake's neck, poking him with her trach.

"Oop! You got me!" Jake laughed.

I looked around the room and saw three unfamiliar faces, two girls and one boy. They looked at me with wide eyes and grins. I looked over at Marley who mouthed 'freshman'.

"Well," I laughed. "Emily Anderson, nice to meet you."

"Wait!" A girl with brownish blonde hair and braces yelled, causing Kamryn to jump. "Like the Emily Anderson?"

"Wow, you a the now," Jake laughed. "Look at you being all famous. Well, I'm Jake. What's your name?" He asked the girl.

She looked Jake up and down, clearly taking in his features. Her eyes resting longer on his muscles and jaw line. Biting her lip when his muscles flexed to move Kammie. "I- Im... Sadie. Yep that's me, and you are?"

He laughed and put his arm around me, "still Jake."

Sadie pointed to me, suddenly less excited that I was 'the' Emily Anderson. "Friend?" She asked in a hopeful tone.

"Fiancé," I smiled, showing off my ring. "What are y'all's names?" I asked pointing to a boy with short brown hair and a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Gabrielle," the girl said. "I prefer Brie or Brielle, but Shuester says he doesn't have time for nicknames."

"It's nice to meet you Brie," I smiled. "Things are going to change now that I'm back, glee is going to be more student run again."

Everyone in the room smiled at the statement. The boy opened his mouth but didn't say anything.

"That's Jacob," Brie said quietly. "He's not saying his name because of your Jacob. Shue calls him Jacob Jr. and was telling him how you and Jake would hate him."

I rolled my eyes, "We don't hate you,"
