Beaver had led Peter, Susan, Lucy, and Arabella to the outskirt's of the White Witches castle in the distance they could see a figure enter the gates.
"Edmund!" Lucy yelled and stepped forward only to be pulled back by Arabella.
"Shh, they'll hear you," Then Peter had started to run and Arabella pushed Lucy to Susan who held her tightly to her and then grabbed Peter around the arm.
"No!" She held on tightly as he tried to shake her off.
"Get off!" He seethed, she held on tigher and wrapped her arms around him containing his arms a slight blush rising in her cheeks from the closeness.
"You're playing into her hands." Susan looked to Beaver trying to reason with him to let them go and get Edmund.
"We can't just let him go! He's our brother!"
Beaver sighed and shook his head. "He's the bait! The Witch wants all five of you!" Peter had finally calmed down and Arabella let go of him but she stayed near him in case he tried anything again
. "Why?" Peter looked to Beaver waiting for an answer.
"To stop the prophecy from coming true. To kill you!" The gates closed creating an echo through the canyon. Susan stepped forward seething in anger that was directed to Peter.
"This is all your fault!" Peter looked at her and threw his hands around him.
"My fault?" Arabella stood between the two but it still didn't stop the yelling she slightly flinched from the loudness of it.
"None of this would have happened if you had listened to me!" Peter scoffed and crossed his arms.
"Oh, so you knew this would happen?" Susan gritted her teeth and crossed her arms as well.
"I didn't know what would happen. Which is why we should have left while we could!"
They started stepping closer to each other and Arabella put her hands out pushing the two away so no physical fighting would happen. "Stop it!" Lucy yelled and came between the two as well looking at both of them while Arabella stood out of the way. "This isn't going to help Edmund."
Arabella bit her lip but she knew Lucy was right. "She's right you know.." Beaver nodded and started towards the woods again.
"Only Aslan can help your brother now. Come on let's head back, I'll take you to him." Peter and Susan held their heads down in shame and followed after Beaver. Lucy and Arabella glanced at each other knowing this was going to be a very long trip indeed to find Aslan.
On the way back to the dam Arabella had fallen behind searching the woods for any spies or creatures she gasped when she felt a hand on her shoulder and titled her head back to look up at Peter who had a small smile on his face.
"I want to thank you, for back there. Saving me from going after Edmund and the White Witch.." Arabella nodded shyly a light flush overcoming her cheeks, what is this? The feeling inside her stomach was foreign to her, it felt like butterflies were floating around.
"Er, no problem."
There was an awkward silence after that between the two. After an hour of walking something in the woods caught Arabella's attention she stopped in her tracks and glanced around. Something was rushing through the woods and coming their way, then there was a sudden howl that made everyone stop. "Run.." She muttered quietly they looked at her oddly and she turned to them.
"RUN!"
They all started running when they heard the bark of the wolves in the distance they reached the dam and quickly filed in closing the door. "Hurry mother! There after us!" Mrs. Beaver's eyes widened and nodded quickly and started gathering stuff together. Arabella kept glancing out the windows and listening carefully for the wolves.
