Chapter Five

*Chuuya's POV*

"Even in death you're a real pain in the ass..." I grumbled as I sat on one of the headstones on the cliff, overlooking the sea. "Of course the Port Mafia confiscated all the records you had gathered on Arahabaki, so I'm back to square one...but you probably wouldn't have told anyone about that stuff anyway." I hopped down off the grave stone and began making my way towards the tree line. "There you are, Chuuya." "Shirasei? What are you doing here?" I asked earning a shrug. "I wanted to come and apologize to you. We did some soul searching after what happened. We have a good handle on what the sheep's problems are now." He said as he approached me. "So we all talked it over and agreed on what the solution was..." He added. "If you all talked about it I--" I was started to say before a sharp pain erupted through my stomach. Shirasei stabbed me. I shoved him away before falling on my ass near the edge of the cliff. "We'd wait til your guard was down and move in for the kill, that way you wouldn't have time to use your ability! Makes sense right, Chuuya?!"

"What are you doing?" I grunted in pain and looked up at him. "There's no use struggling...I rubbed rat poison on the blade before hand...you'll go numb soon and won't be able to move. It's only because you're so damn powerful otherwise we wouldn't have had to do it this way!" He growled as the others emerged along with those G.S.S bastards. "This is the answer we agreed on. We're teaming up with the G.S.S...We all came to realize the terrible truth, that if you were really gonna join the Port Mafia it would end up getting each and every one of us killed!!" "I would never betray the organizat--" I started to say only to grit my teeth from the pain. "The G.S.S don't change their alliances on a whim like you do...they can be trusted as long as they make money! This was the smartest thing we could do to wipe out the Port Mafia!!"

"It looks like...I was just a fool..." I said softly before activating my ability, forcing the ground to crumble so I could escape. Once I was momentarily safe I pulled the knife out of my stomach and tossed it aside. "Their leader my ass..." I grunted "Weight of The World..." A familiar voice said from beside me as a hand gently gripped my wrist. I turned, locking eyes with Teru. I watched as her delicate face contorted in agony as she took on my pain. I was about to stop her before another, much more annoying, voice reached my ears. "Hey there, Chuuya...you look like you're in a bind." I looked over Teru's shoulder to see Dazai perched on a rock with a lot of men behind him "What are you doing here, you piece of shit? You wanna join the festivities and kill me too?!" I shouted angrily "Actually, Mori sent me with a message...He wants me to officially invite you to be a member of the Port Mafia." "In return for saving my life, is that it?" I asked

"Uhh, I don't really care what you choose, I'm just here for the blood bath. Mori is a pretty demanding employer. The moment I joined the Mafia he put me in charge of the army. Now that two of our enemies, The G.S.S and the Sheep have joined forces, we have to shut them down before they become completely coordinated. If I do my job by noon today, they'll all be dead." Dazai said emotionlessly. "You'd actually hurt those kids?" I growled and activated my ability. "S-stop m-moving..." Teru hissed. I had actually forgotten that she was using her ability on me. "Our policy never changes. That said...there is another possibility. If someone who was familiar with the enemy asked me not to go through with it, I would take it into consideration." "Someone on your team, you mean?" I asked for clarification "That's right. A fellow colleague in the Port Mafia...I could trust the suggestion of one of my own."

"So you wanna make a deal...You really are the devil..." I said "Don't forget I won all those games we made bets on. You'll be working for me in this organization and I have every intention of working you to the bone." He smirked sinisterly "I'm gonna rip you to shreds..." "I love the look in your eyes...like a wild beast." He responded with a chuckle. "Just don't kill the children..." I was too tired to argue anymore "Very well. Alright everyone just as we discussed earlier no harm is to come to the children..." He said to his men before heading off the deal with the G.S.S.
