The Mafia's Princess (Dazai x OC x Chuuya)

Chapter Nine

*Teru's POV*

Dazai ended up taking the news of my pregnancy pretty good or at least he seemed to. It's hard to read him from time to time. 

Right now my main concern was how to break the news to Papa and Chuuya.

I made my way back up to my room, upon returning "Home". I changed into some baggy sleep pants and a tank top before laying in bed. 

I had been so lost in thought that I hadn't noticed my door open. "Look who I found." Chuuya's voice chimed, causing me to look at him. "Yurei, where did you get off to?!" I asked and took the white cat from my ginger boyfriend and held her close, scratching behind her ear. She purred loudly and began kneading my shirt. 

As I loved on her I felt something moving and quickly realized she was pregnant. "Looks like you and I are in the same boat, Yurei." I whispered. "So, how are you feeling?" Chuuya asked sweetly and sat next to me. 

"Much better than before." I said softly and picked up the folded-up ultrasound image, handing it to him. "This is why I was sick." He looked at me with a quirked brow before unfurling the image. His eyes widened as the knowledge of me being pregnant hit him like a ton of bricks. 

"You're going to have a baby?" He asked softly "Two, actually." I corrected and pointed to the second embryo. After staring at the image he grinned and pulled me into a kiss. "Have you told Mori yet?" 

"Not yet. Still trying to figure out how to break the news to him. Although he probably already has suspicions since he used to be a doctor."  

After a moment of thought, an idea popped into my head. I pulled the used pregnancy tests out of my bag and took a picture of them with my phone camera.

Me: Hey dad, guess what. 

                    Dad: What is it Teru, dear?

Me: You're gonna be a grandpa! 

Me: {Attachment sent}

He stopped responding after that which caused me to laugh "I think I broke him." I said and leaned my head on Chuuya's shoulder. "I want some pears and strawberry ice cream..."  

"But you hate pears."

"I know...but that's just what I want."

One shopping trip later I had the things I was craving as well as a movie. Chuuya sat with his back propped up against the ungodly amount of pillows I had on my bed, while I was in between his legs, my back against his chest as I stuffed some pear bits in my mouth.

About halfway through the movie, my phone rang. I didn't even have to look to know it was my dad since the ringtone gave it away. "Yes, Dad?" I chirped.

"Could you come to my office?" He asked. "Be there in a bit." I hung up and groaned at the idea of having to leave the comfort of my bed and Chuuya's chest. "I'll be right back." I said and left to go see what dad wanted.

Along the way, I ran into none other than Akutagawa who looked like he just returned from a mission. "Hey, Aku. Just get back from a job?" I asked softly, falling into step beside him.

"Indeed I have. I was heading up to report to your father." 

"That's where I'm going as well so I think I'll accompany you."

The two of us walked in comfortable silence until we reached Dad's office. "Dad, I'm here and I brought Akutagawa with me." I said through the large door.

"Come in, dear." 

I opened the door and stepped inside, Aku following suit.

As soon as the doors closed, Dad approached me and placed a white paper bag in my hands. "I picked these up earlier while I was out with Elise." He said as I reached into the bag and pulled out a series of vitamins and supplements meant for pregnant women.

"Thanks, dad."

He nodded before turning to hear Aku's report. "Well done, as usual. Now I have a new job for you...Whenever Chuuya is away on missions I would like you to act as Teru's bodyguard during the duration of her pregnancy." 

"Of course, boss." Aku said before fully registering what he just heard. He looked at me for a moment before his gaze fell to my stomach. 

"I'm gonna go finish my ice cream, now!" I said and whipped around to leave. As I was about to close the door I poked my head back in. "By the way, dad...I'm having twins." I said and held up two fingers before power walking back to my room. 

"He just wanted to give me some supplements and vitamins as well as appoint Akutagawa as my bodyguard when you aren't with me." I said and set up the pills on my nightstand before getting comfy again.

Twelve weeks into my pregnancy and I had developed a pretty noticeable bump.  

Unfortunately, that brought me some...unwanted attention.

I had just finished a meeting with Dad and the current executives and I had stayed behind afterward to clean up the meeting room a bit, when I felt a pair of arms snake around me from behind. "You are looking quite, lovely today, Teru dear." 

I couldn't help but inwardly gag as my face scrunched up in disgust as the person whispered in my ear.

"Ace...if you don't get your hands off of me and my stomach, so help me god. We go through this constantly but again, since you seem to have the memory of a cockroach...I'm already spoken for!" I reiterated and flashed the two rings that adorned my left ring finger.

With that, I pried myself free from his hold and left without giving him a chance to respond.  'Why does dad even keep him around?' I wondered as I hauled ass back to my room to change clothes as Dad and I were going out for lunch. 

Not wanting to deal with pants, I tossed on a white ankle-length dress with rose patterns on it and a cropped denim jacket. Once I was dressed I struggled to get my knee-length hair up into a stylish yet messy bun. 

"Maybe I should cut my hair sometime..." I mumbled as I put my glasses back on and left to meet up with dad.

Before anyone asks. Yes, Teru is engaged to both Chuuya AND Dazai.
