Mel's Pov

"It's nice of you two love birds to finally grace us with your presence." Says ma stepping aside so we can walk in.

"Sorry mommy we lost track of time."

"Mhmm what's those marks on your neck?" Asks ma getting closer.

"It's nothing mommy don't be silly."

I quickly flip my hair over my neck so she can't take a closer look.

"Oh I'm just playing. Now both of you come have a seat." Demands ma

Moy and I sit down on the couch.

"Let me see that ring of yours?" Says ma with a cheesy grin on her face.

"My ring? Wait a minute who told you. I wanted to surprise you with the good news." 😩

"Now you know Moy needed our approval. That's why I offered to watch the kids. You don't know how happy I am. I get to see my baby get married." Yells ma clapping her hands together.

"I can't wait either."

I put my hand out so my mother can admire my ring. She pulls out a looking glass and examines the ring.

"Let's see French-Set Halo Diamond. Looks to be 14 carrot white gold. I must say I'm impressed son you have good taste." Says ma

I swear she's too much.

"Thanks ma." Says Moy

"Mommyyyy."

I turn around see Julissa and Dylan running into the room followed by my father.

"Hi babies. Mommy missed you guys so much."

They both run into my arms.

I kiss them all over their faces.

"Ohh that ring is pretty." Says Julissa trying to take it off my finger.

"Thanks jelly bean."

"I want one." Whines Julisaa

"Babygirl when you get older you can have one." Says Moy he places her on his lap.

"Son can I see you in the kitchen?" Asks dad

"Of course pops." Says Moy he placed Julissa on the couch and leaves.

I wait until they leave to ask a question.

"Ma and pops? Since when did you guys calling start getting so friendly? We aren't even married yet and you guys already act like in laws."

"Pumpkin you know it's no secret that your father and I have always liked Moy. Ever since the day you introduced us to him we just knew he was the one for you. I consider him as part of the family. I'm so glad you guys finally got your sh-- I mean stuff
together." Says ma

"Ohh grandma you almost say bad word." Says Julissa pointing her chubby little finger at her.

"Hush up child." Says ma

Moy's Pov

"So how did it go?" Asks Josiah

"The night went very well. There was one little incident but no need to worry I handled it." 😌👊

"What happened?" Asks Josiah

"We ran into Johnny. He started getting disrespectful with Mel. He almost hit her until I stopped him. I lost it when he called Dylan a bastard."

"That lil nigga must have a death wish. He better be lucky I wasn't there. I'm not surprised by his behavior. I hired some of my people to keep an eye on him. After that last scene where he hit Mel I had to take matters into my own hands. That bum is on some serious drugs. You keep my princess and my grand children away from him." Says Josiah
