Chapter 16

Mel's Pov

"What's wrong with the door? My keys aren't working? Yells Moy

"That's because I changed the locks. You don't live here anymore. Therefore you no longer need a key."

I unlock the door and let him in.

"Mommy." Yells a little voice

"Is that my jelly bean?"

"Yes mommy. It's me." Yells Julissa she runs in after Shamoy

I sweep her off of her feet.

"I miss you." Says Julissa with a sad look on her face.

"She cried for three days straight after leaving your house." Says Shamoy

"Aww she did?"

"She kept freaking out thinking you were mad at her." Says Shamoy

"I'm so sorry for the things I said to you. Mommy loves you and I promise not to ever send you away. You don't know any better. You forgive me?"

"Yes." Says Julissa kissing my nose.

"Where's your little girlfriend?"

"In the car. I'm not in the mood for you two to be arguing." Snaps Shamoy

"What am I supposed to do? Greet her with open and arms be happy you left me for her?!"

"Well if you were acting right maybe I wouldn't have to look in other places." Says Shamoy getting in my face.

"You can leave now."

"You can't handle the truth." Asks Shamoy

Julissa must of sensed me getting upset because she started yelling at him.

"Daddy stop." Yells Julissa

Shamoy doesn't say anything after that he just leaves. Slamming the door behind him.

"Did you have fun with daddy?"

"No." Says Julissa

"Why not?"

"His friend mean." Says Julissa

"What did she do?"

"Leave me by myself."Says Julissa

"That's okay mommy will get her for you. Hey you wanna go to the park?"

"Yessss." Says Julissa

"Then let's go."

I put the empty snack wrappers in the garbage.

Julissa reaches her hands up and I take her out of the high chair.

"Where Dylan?" Asks Julissa

"He's with auntie Leah. It's just me and you today."

"Yay." Says Julissa

"You want me all to yourself don't you?"

"Duh mommy." Says Julissa playing with my phone.

"I'll be right back."

I walk into my closet and find something to wear.

I change into a white bandeau top with a matching shirts and jacket with palm trees on it. (pic to the side).

I part my hair in the middle and leave it out

I put on a pair of white tennis shoes.
