« I'm going with you to the mall » Yoohyeon announced to Minji after they both got out of the bathroom « I'm going to Reality Catchers to have a talk with Yubin about the job »
« You're really serious about it » Minji smiled proudly.
« I am » Yoohyeon nodded « I like the idea of working there. Now, let just hope that I'll be good » She sighed with insecurity.
Minji walked up to her and put her hands on her shoulders, locking eyes with hers « I'm sure you will be » She assured her before pecking her lips « Since we'll both be there, how about we have lunch together? » She suggested to brighten Yoohyeon's thoughts.
Yoohyeon tilted her head to the side, giving it a quick thought before she nodded and smiled excitedly « Maybe we can go to the American-style diner? » She proposed.
« Sounds perfect » Minji grinned and went to put what she needed in her backpack. Meanwhile, Yoohyeon put her sneakers and coat on, ready to make the best of the day ahead. She waited for Minji to finish preparing and they locked eyes, exchanging happy smiles as they exited the apartment.
Yoohyeon immediately noticed their neighbor coming back home as Minji was locking up. Her eyebrows slightly furrowed at her exhausted and sad expression. She reached for Minji's wrist and the woman looked up and followed her line of vision. They exchanged a quick worried face before they walked up to her. She still hadn't noticed their presence, too busy searching inside her handbag for, most likely, her keys.
« Hey, Gahyeon! » Minji greeted first, making their presence known.
The younger woman looked up as Yoohyeon waved gleefully « Oh! Hey, guys! » She replied without the same energy.
« Tough night? » Minji wondered.
Gahyeon sighed, her eyes darting to Handong's door behind them. Minji and Yoohyeon only had to exchange a look to tell the other they knew exactly why she was doing it « It's been a long night, yeah » Gahyeon confirmed before she added hesitantly « Did....did Handong come back? »
« Uh...we don't know. We didn't hear anything » Yoohyeon told her with a compassionate smile.
« Okay » Gahyeon mumbled with a sigh « I'll go to bed. Bye, guys! » She bid them goodbye.
Minji felt bad for her but didn't know what to do to make her feel better. However, Yoohyeon moved toward their neighbor « I don't want to interfere in your personal life but if I may, you should shoot your shot »Gahyeon's brows knitted as she tried to understand what she meant but then, realization stroke her that Yoohyeon had noticed her crush on the tattooed woman. She gulped, averting her eyes down « But I can't. Handong's my friend » She sighed defeatedly.
« Well, sometimes love is multiple » Yoohyeon shrugged. Gahyeon, and Minji by her side, frowned at the unexpected and strange sentence. Yoohyeon just smiled at the smaller girl innocently, which confused her even more.
« I...uh...I'll think about that » She stuttered, opening her door « Good night, guy....I mean, have a good day » She corrected herself after it came back to her mind that it was morning and just the beginning of the day for them.
« Sleep well » Minji sent her a soft smile, grabbing gently Yoohyeon by the elbow as they continued their way. It was once in the car that Minji, after organizing her thoughts, asked Yoohyeon about what happened moments earlier with Gahyeon. She turned toward the silver-haired « Yoo? »
« Uh? » The passenger locked eyes with her with the usual innocent expression that made Minji melt every time.
« What...what did you mean by...'sometimes love is multiple'? » She asked as her heart rate spiked in anticipation.
