Writer's Note:
Well, hello stranger. Let me just start off by saying that if, by some chance, anyone who has so graciously followed this story is now reading this, I guess I owe you two things.
1) An apology. I never planned to stop writing, I just got carried away with... life. I'm older now, a working adult (eww) and this teenager's dreams had to take a back seat.
2) Some closure. I, albeit all the cringe-ness, do adore these characters and hope they'll grow just as much as I have in the last seven years. So here's me saying I'll TRY to write more, but no promises! I just hope it isn't another seven years till we meet again, cause Anesha should have her happy ending by then...

This Chapter is dedicated to a dear friend (and my biggest fan) whose birthday it is today. I thought this would be a unique, funny gift, and hope you enjoy reading the paragraphs below. I've hidden a few things throughout inspired by our many conversations. Happy hunting!

You're staring at bright blue waves in the open sea, glistening with the reflection of the sun. A wave of calm washes over you.
But then your gaze moves further back, you look closer, and see a glacial wall of ice towering above the sea.
Mesmerising, yet sends a shiver down your spine.
That's what it felt like to be staring into Bradley James' eyes.
His gaze made me feel a certain warmness, yet always left me frozen in place, wanting more. More of what, you may ask. Awkward physical contact? Sarcastic insults? I didn't have time to ponder this question, because just as the last ray of light hit the glacier, a chunk of ice fell, crashing into the sea below.
I was brought back to reality with a "What're you staring at, klutz?" The bell signifying the start of our two minutes had just rung.
I didn't realise it but Bradley was smirking. That knocked me back to my senses real quick and I rolled my eyes so far up, I could just about make out the Virgo constellation in the sky.
"Oh, so your eyes do move. For a second there, I thought you got lost in my charm. That happens a lot."
Oh man, I could just hit him over the head right now. The sweet weapon of choice would be the box of Cheerios I spy at the buffet table behind us. But not the honey kind, that's too precious to be wasted on him.
"Shall we just forgo pleasantries and focus on the task at hand? Though we won't need the whole 120 seconds, you're a quick read," I almost snorted.
"Let's be civil now," he raised his hands up in defence. "Since we are well acquainted," he winked, "let's just get to work. Try to figure out this dumb treasure hunt and get a head start."
Was it just me, or did Bradley seem to be in an unusually chipper mood? I don't think he's ever winked at me. Or like, ever. Is this just a complete 360 to avoid the awkwardness in my room earlier?
"Well, they don't release the list till later this week, right? So what should we expect?" I could have put up a fight, but remembered the end goal of this was to survive with the least amount of conflict possible. And a head start over the other girls was a bonus.
"Just some random shit these girls would consider 'scandalous'. Oh hey, you may be able to help with that. If you are actually a girl...," he eyed me up and down.
