WRITER'S NOTICE:

I'm sorry it took me so long to update. I was swamped with exams and other school stuff. But now, I'm as free as a bird. ;) I swear I'll update it more often. And please feel free to comment!!! I wanna know what you think is gonna happen. Enjoy!

"What? Did you actually use a comb today?" I teased Bradley, happy to see the left corner of his mouth curl up. Then I playfully ruffled his hair, rather affectionately at that.

What?!

He looked more endearing with the "I-just-woke-up" kind of look. But I also made sure that while I was being all cute with him, Justine's eyes were locked directly on us.

She wanted a story?

Well, she got one.

So much for fighting fire with fire. A wise person once said,

"Just gonna stand there and watch me burn.

But that's alright because I love the way you lie."

And if she intended on continuing her lying streak, I might as well give her something to yap about. Because I was on fire alright and my sparks ignited a whole other side of me I never thought I had until today.

I could tell Bradley found it a little awkward that I was actually being nice to him. And it didn't feel right either. Every time I look at him, I have to fight the urge to open my mouth to spew something cynic but I constantly resist and shut my jaw in defiance.

There's something about him that gets me all riled up.

And I haven't decided if that's a plus point yet.

Literature was honestly my worst lesson today. Even though my plan of making Justine jealous was working to my advantage, I couldn't cope with the idea that I was turning out to be exactly like her.

I hated using people.

And even though it was Bradley who was using me, I felt a pang of penitence.

When the bell rung, I was more than doubtful about my short-lived plan. Before entering my History class, I'd already made my mind up to let it slide.

To drop my "genius" of a short-lived plan.

Seeing Justine's squirm in her seat for a solid hour had been pleasurable enough. As I walked into History, somebody stretched a long toned hand to wave me over to the vacant seat right next to them.

Realization suddenly hit me.

I had been so caught up fussing over Justine and her insolent threats, that I had side-tracked from what attracted me most to this school.

Hot guys.

Or in this circumstance, ONE particular hot guy.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in ages, newbie," Arthur's voice was so alluring; he could have been in an advertisement for selling boxers and I would have been convinced to by one for myself.

"Newbie? Is that cliché really going to stick around?" I asked, hating to be singled out as the awkward newcomer in school.

"Well, I can come up with a new one for you if you want," he said, his mouth tilting up into a lopsided grin. His facial expressions looked so hard at work as if he was solving an algebra question in his head; that I daren't disturb his beautiful work of art.
