Now all dressed as muggles, we trek through London, escorted by Mad-Eye and Tonks, who I walk up the front with.

Her hair, once again a short cut, bright bubblegum pink, gave Mad-Eye Moody a lot of grief - we spent ten minutes assuring him that it wouldn't look out of place on the London Underground.

Dressed in jeans, a faded brown top and a pink cardigan, I'm uncomfortably reminded of Umbridge. However, my cardigan is long and not... furry.

I won't let her ruin my favourite cardigan.

"Got up to any pranks this year then?" Tonks nudges me.

"A couple on Malfoy," I smirk, "But Umbridge is making things difficult." Tonks fake gags at the mention of her.

"If it wouldn't draw us so much attention I'd change my hair right now. How's Quidditch going?"

"Well actually, I put a decent team together but Umbridge seems intent as ever on finding problems, and she put me on technical probation 'just in case', and this egotistical idiot on the team is unfortunately, really happy about that."

Tonks coughs and checks to see if anyone else can hear us, then beckons the twins over. They tower over both of us, enough so the ones behind can't hear.

"I think you guys might need some help with a prank."

We arrive at the hospital, Harry completely dumbfounded as to how we spoke to a mannequin in an empty department store and walked through the glass.

I dodge a few lime-robed Healers as they pass, waiting with the others at the front desk.

And while I'm happy we're here to see Arthur, on the first floor, I can't help being distracted by the signs.

She's so close.

Outside the room, Harry and I hang back to let the Weasleys go in, but Molly grabs us with a 'don't be silly'.

We filter into the ward, containing only two other people (a man bit by a werewolf and a woman who refuses to tell the Healers what happened) besides Mr Weasley.

He seems quite cheerful for a man who's bandages can't be removed because he won't stop bleeding and the wounds won't close.

George and Fred poke at what happened, trying to convince their Dad to tell them what he was guarding.

Out of the two, George was pushing harder, and got closer too, but their parents shut them up, eventually ushering us out of the room.

The twins pull out their Extendable Ears, egging Harry and the rest of us into eavesdropping too.

Pressing the stringy flesh to my ear, I hear Tonks first.

"... they searched the whole area but couldn't find the snake anywhere. It just seems to have vanished after it attacked you Arthur... But You-Know-Who can't have expected a snake it get in, can he?"

"I reckon he sent it as a lookout," Moody growls, "'cause he's not had any luck so far, has he? No, I reckon he's trying to get a clearer picture of what he's facing and if Arthur hadn't been there the beast would've had a lot more time to look around. So, Potter says he saw it all happen?"

Mrs Weasley answers, sounding slightly shaky, "Yes. You know, Dumbledore seems almost to have been waiting for Harry to see something like this."
