Sung Ryong never really thought about having a soulmate. For the better part of his life he even ignored the thin faint line on his ring finger cause not everyone is lucky enough to find their soulmate. Most of the population even live their whole life not even knowing how their soulmate looks like, if they are male or female.

Yes, most people isn't lucky enough but she was. She with whom Sung Ryong wanted to spend his whole life. Even considered her his soulmate, his person. Oh how wrong he was.

They were happy. Everything was perfect. They fell in love like a page from a romance novel. He saw his future in her eyes. They got married with smiles on their face. Sung Ryong thought they had everything. And he fell in love again. The moment he held his twins in his arms everything in the world was brighter. He was a father, a husband. He had a family to call his own. A home to return to. People to love. It doesn't get better than that, does it?

Well it does gets worse.

She found her soulmate.

He came back home that day to a dark house. Found her in the living room. She looked conflicted. When she looked up Sung Ryong couldn't recognize her.

She told him what happened. She told him what it felt like. She told him the life he cherished, was a lie to her. She couldn't stay with him anymore. She didn't love him anymore. He was like a stranger to her. That Sung Ryong agreed with. She was not the woman he fell in love with. And she left leaving him standing there.

He saw his life crumble in front of his eyes. The cries of his two years olds brought him out of his thoughts. Even though she could deny their children he couldn't. They were and always will be his children.

In a week the divorce was filed and she left his life as if she was never in it to start with.

His friends and family helped him care for his children and himself. He didn't get much time to mourn his dead relationship as he was busy keeping his son and daughter happy.

What a dangerous thing soulmate was. It turned his dream like home to only a dream.

Sung Ryong usually doesn't think about this stuff. It's already been three years. His kids are going to school.

He didn't try dating anyone in this time. Yes, he is scared, who knows it happened once it can happen again. He is happy with his son Sae Jin and daughter Ryo Jin. They are his world now and their days are better than he could have imagined.

But today as he was going to his children's school for a parents teacher meeting, he noticed his soulmate mark is more visible than ever while waiting at the signal. He has been on this road before but why is it today? What rather who is different than usual?

Sung Ryong doesn't want to have a soulmate. What if it has the same effect on him as it had on his ex wife. She didn't even ask for the children's custody. As if she didn't care. That was the thing that made him despise the thought of a soulmate. He could have been happy for her if she didn't abandon the children like that.

He is praying to whoever listening to let them just pass by and never meet. Because as he approached the school it was becoming more visible almost white.
