Sometimes I'm filled with remorse because I've been procrastinating for so long that my mental compass has retired for the evening. I have learned a very hard lesson living with HIV. That life is much too precious to put others before you take care of yourself. This often leaves me feeling somber.
Lost deep within emotional grays
My colorful blue
distilled the earnest green
O, how the towering Redwoods
Scratch the brazen skyMy heart, torn asunder
I look up, filled with thunder
Lightning, lightning...defy my gender
And I'll thank you
For the friendly gesture.I'm astonished by purplish clouds
Tenderly hugging the crescent moon
As if at any moment, pinkish oranges
Would vindicate the essence
of its crescent glowI stumble through the brush
Despite nature's beauty
Distilled Redwoods
Stretching my colorful blue
With grayish huesGlittering brazen sky
I'm somber with unapologetic earth tones
Adjust the contrast
Filter my words
Defy my gender
And I'll thank you
For the friendly gestureWritten by DAPHAROAH69
