This chapter starts right after Miles left the Spider-Lair, said boy walking around the city as he looks at his phone. He sees a message from his dad, deciding to listen to it as he gets asked where he was and what was going on with him. His dad really wanted to know where he was and what was going on.
He then makes his way to the only place he can feel comfortable at the moment: his Uncle Arron's home. He sneaks inside and gets some paper and a pen, writing a note talking about how he had to do something, but he doesn't know if he can.
Outside, something can be seen lurking around, prowling as it grows closer to the apartment as Miles finishes his letter. However, he looks up when he hears some clanging and looks out the window. Then he sees a familiar silhouette making its way through the window, making him gasp as he turns to find a hiding spot. The figure then steps inside, revealing themself to be The Prowler.

The Prowler scans the room as Miles hides, the villain cladded in purple walking forward as he passes Miles. But then he looks behind the TV, where Miles was hiding... only to find nothing. Unknowingly to The Prowler, Miles had turned invisible again to make sure he stayed hidden.
The Prowler steps forward to see if anyone was there, just to be sure. He then gets a call from his earpiece, answering it with a press of a button.

The Prowler: "Hello, Mister Fisk. I've got the security tapes from the tunnel right here. If the kid's out there, I'll find him." *pulls of cowl* "You know me, sir. I don't ever quit."
