Layla pov
I can't believe Devine basically unfriended me. I just want the best for her and she doesn't understand that. I gotta go down there. She needs to understand.
~~~~~~
I try to unlock it. She changed the locks great. I knock and wait. She opened it. She had that same look. "Forgot something here?"
"My best friend."
"You're not a good best friend and you know it."
"I don't understand you. I'm trying to keep you safe."
"But that's not your job. I didn't ask you to be my best friend so you could be my bodyguard. I wanna do normal best friend stuff. You can look into Dallas all you want but don't bother me about it."
"Devine. I don't want to be your bodyguard. I just wanna make sure you don't get hurt with these boys."
"You don't think I'm capable of doing that myself?"
"No. A dude just hurt you the other day."
"Don't talk about that... Even if I can't protect myself, I have a man to do it for me. Layla if you had a boyfriend, a girlfriend, a kid or another friend you would be different."
"I'm good by myself."
"Well then leave me alone...we can see each other every once in a while but you're all in my personal life and it's getting on my nerves."
"Am I not in your personal life?" A car pulled up. "I think it's time for you to go...I don't wanna argue in front of him..."
"Fine." He got out of his car. He looked at me. "Hey." I didn't say anything. He hugged Devine. "Go inside."
"Alright." He kissed her and went inside. "See? I have a boyfriend... he's a principal Layla how bad can he be?"
"You're right...I'm gonna go home."
"Oh okay."
~~~~~~~~~
Is there literally nothing I can find off of him? He's just a principal with kids. He doesn't have any police stuff, he wasn't a drug dealer. I guess he's actually a normal guy...hold on...found something.
~~~~~~~~
I knock on his door. He opened it. "How did you find my house?"
"You did drugs in highschool."
"So did Devine..what are you trying to do?"
"There's something about you. You're too nice to her." He chuckled. "I like Devine. She's gorgeous and smart. She's so interesting and unique. They're right when they say the best friends are complete opposites... you're crazy. You really are. Leave Devine alone. You're gonna drive her crazy." He closed the door. He was too defensive...
~~~~~~~
Devine pov.
"Goodnight girls."

"Good night mommy."

"Sweet dreams. I love you."

"Love you mommy." I love my babies. I closed their door and go upstairs to my room. Dallas called me like ten times. I call him back. "Are you in trouble or something?"

"No but I think you are.'

"Why do you say that?"

"Your friend. She came over trying to get some information from me. She's crazy. She said I was too nice to you and there's something about me."

"She didn't threaten to kill you did she?"

"I don't think so. But maybe you should stop hanging out with her..."

"I'll see. Good night."

"Goodnight." It's probably time to break it off.
~~~~~~~~
I love weekends. My kids are home. I'll probably take them somewhere. Now that I'm in a relationship I think I should start working but I don't know what schools are hiring right now. I doubt many cause it's the middle of the year. I'll see though. "Mommy someone outside!"
"Thanks for yelling baby." I open the door. "Here to tell me why you had to interrogate my boyfriend?"
"I didn't interrogate him."
"Layla leave us alone. We're not friends anymore."
"Why do you pick your boyfriend's over me?"
"My boyfriend's don't interrogate and threaten you. I'm fine on my own." I go back inside. She acts like I need her. I use to back then but I'm okay now. She needs to grow up. What is wrong with her? Now I'm in a bad mood. "Guys put some shoes on let's go to the park."
"Yay!" Soon enough they'll be too old to wanna go to the park. Wow I don't want my kids to grow up. I grabbed Josh. "Let's put some shoes on you darling."
~~~~~~~
"Let's go guys." Dallas pulled in. "Come on Josh." He's walking so slow. "You can do it." I look at Dallas. "Are you guys going somewhere?"

"To the park."r

"I came at a bad time then."

"You can come you know. My kids would want you to."

"Okay then."

"Do you wanna go home and change? You're always so formal and professional."

"I'll stop by my house and meet you guys there."

"Okay."
