It's Tuesday, I'm home alone. Dallas didn't want me alone with a baby apparently. So I'm bored. I have nothing to do. I look in the fridge. We're stocked up on food. So I have no reason to go shopping. I'll take a walk maybe that'll ease my boredom. I don't know how but hopefully it will. I put shoes on and started walking. A walk is calming and quiet and I don't have anything to stress about. People are walking their dogs. I've always wanted a puppy. Should I get one? I don't know if River and Paris are allergic to dogs. I run home to text Dallas. I'm really about to adopt a dog. I grab my keys and my money. I'm just waiting on him to text back.

Dallas😍: I don't think so why?

Me: I'm adopting a puppy

Dallas😍: wouldn't that be too much stress?

Me: nope. I'm home alone what you want me to do?
He started calling. I sigh. "Hello?"

"Babe you're only home until Friday I don't think you should buy a puppy when you're not even gonna be there."

"I'm bored though. I have nothing to do. What do you want me to do?"

"Just something else babe."

"Like what?"

"I don't know."

"Dallasssssss. I have nothing to do. "

"Go shopping."

"I don't need anything. I'm about to go back to the school."

"Don't you dare. Did you take your meds?"

"Yessssssssss."

"Want me to come home?"

"And do what? Be bored with me? I won't be able to do this for another two days or I'll go crazy."

"You'll be fine. I'm coming."

"Ugh I hate this. I hate you and I hate the doctor, I hate this house and the bedroom and people with dogs." He laughed. "You're just mad."

"I hate being home. I'm so bored it's crazy."

"You're home because you are crazy."

"Ugh. Just hurry and get here."

"I'm on my way."

Friday
I'm finally back at work. God it's been forever. I feel better now that I've had a break. I go inside. "It's nice to have you back Devine."

"It's so nice to be back." He hugged me. "I hope your break was well."

"It was."

"Great, follow me, I have something for you."

"Is it work?"

"No." He chuckled. "I don't want you working on your first day back."

"Why not?"

"I'll give you work but nothing too big how bout that?"

"That sounds much better." We went in the office. "Did you know you had a mailbox?"

"No? When did you start this?"

"We've always had this."

"Oh. Do I have mail?"

"Check." I pull the bin out. Oh I have some letters. I grab them and put the bin back. I look through them. "Wow I was missed.'

"You definitely were. You should check your office." I leave the office. I'm excited. I'm happy to know that students were worried about me. It's shows they really care about me. There's notes all over my door. I unlock it and my office was filled with balloons. "Wow. My kids would love this." I make my way through and sat down. "How does it feel?"

"It feels amazing. I love being here."

"I love that. I'll get your assignment. I'll be back."

"Okay."

It's almost the end of the day. I don't want it to end. The intercom came on. "Teachers and faculty, if you would let all students out right now for early dismissal." What? "I sent you a email." What's going on? I sat down and looked at my emails. I didn't get one. "I need Ms. Waters to my office. Teachers I hope you got the email." Okay? I leave my office to go to the front office. The ladies smiled at me. "Congratulations Ms. Waters."

"Thanks?" I go in Lee's office. "What's going on?"

"We're having a company party that Dallas set up."

"Here?"

"Yes. It's tonight and it's for you and your hard work at the school."

"Wow."

"The party's at seven. You get to go home early."

"Early?"

"Yes, school ends in like ten minutes and all the students are gone so there's no reason to stay."

"That's true. Um. Thank you."

"No problem."

I park at home. Dallas is home. He always is actually. I go inside. He hugged me right when I got in. "Hey my little successful sexy woman." I giggle. "I'm proud of what you've become you know that?"

"I know. You tell me a lot."

"Do I?"

"You do." He kissed me. He picked me up. "Where are my kids?"

"My parents house."

"Oh."

"They're fine. Let's make this day about you. Okay?"

"Okay."

Dallas pov
I'm glad she fell asleep. That makes leaving the house much easier. I'm going to the school to start setting everything up. I do really want to stay and be in bed with her but this is a little more important. I think. Yeah it definitely is but just a little.

I'm watching everything get set up. "Where's Devine?"

"She's at home sleeping. I want everyone else here before she comes. Speaking of everyone, do you know that Ariana girl?"

"I guess."

"Can you possibly get a hold of her and her friend?"

"Sure."

"I think she means a lot to Devine and I want her here."

"Okay. I'll see what I can do." He walked away. I can't wait until Devine sees this. I love her so much. She really deserves this. I'm really about to cry but I shouldn't because I haven't even proposed yet. But I don't want to cry in front of her. "Dallas?"

"Hm?"

"You good? You just standing here being weird."

"I'm just thinking about my soon to be fiancee."

"Don't get emotional on me Dallas."

"How could I not though? Like after this, we're gonna plan for our wedding and maybe by the start of next year we'll be getting married. Maybe we'll have another baby who knows?"

"Dallas chill."

"Have you ever proposed to your girlfriend?"

"I'm gay."

"Well fuck. Your boyfriend?"

"No I haven't. It's only been like two months."

"Okay then so you can't tell me to chill if you won't be in this predicament until like a few years."

"Dude I just don't want you to cry, that's all. But I can't wait to meet Devine. I hope she's exactly how you described her."

"Oh she is. She definitely is."
