Three months later,

"Kei, be a good boy! I'll pick you up later!"

Kei nodded as he waved his hands before going to his room.

Her phone vibrated all of sudden, turns out it was her doctor who was in charge of her health condition.

"Hello?" She greeted first after picking up the call.

"Hello, Mrs. Haitani, I have something to discuss with you. Can you spare me a moment?" she asked.

"Oh yeah, of course, I'll be there in 10 minutes,"

"Careful" she responded and then immediately hang up.

As soon as she got there, she immediately walked directly toward her doctor's office.

"Good morning, please have a seat" he greeted while holding a lot of paper in his hands.

"These documents will unveil the long-lost truth, so please brace yourself," she added and handed her the papers.

Y/n felt a quiver of fear as she senses that something is not right.

"Miscarriage record?" her eyes widened reading the reports.

Miscarriage due to a car accident that led to the loss of her memories...

"I found these records on my friend's documents."

"I can't understand what you're t-trying to say..."

The doctor just smiled at her and started speaking,

"I'm glad that your husband still has a blood sample kept in our laboratory, I also requested for Mr. Haitani Ran's blood sample for DNA test"

"DNA test? So you're saying..."

"After examining, here's the result."

She immediately looked at the paper, Ran's percentage was 25%, as far as she could remember, 25% are applicable to uncle-nephew, aunt-niece relationships.

Her eyes widened as she kept on gasping through the air; her heartbeats are getting faster.

"49%"

"Then, it means... Kei's father.. was really him."

"I'm sorry to tell you this late, but try not to stress yourself over this."

Y/n suddenly burst into tears after knowing that it was Rindou who was Kei's real father.

A few more minutes, after she calmed down, she hopped in her car to pick up Kei from his school. She decided to drop by where Rindou used to buy flowers.

"Mama!"

"Where are we going?"

"To your papa,"

"Mister?"

Kei was referring to Ran. He's aware that Ran was his biological father but it wasn't really Ran. Y/n didn't bother to respond to his question and proceeded to drive.

Y/n never regained her memories a hundred percent. She might regain some of it but it still doesn't change the fact that half of her memories vanished.

After a couple of minutes, they finally got there where Rindou was. Kei placed the flower on his father's tomb.

Silence engulfed all over the place, the only thing they could hear was the sound of the trees swaying because of the wind and the humming of the birds.

The night before her anniversary, y/n was already bearing Ran's child inside her womb, but due to Ran's cheating, she got into an accident that led to a miscarriage, but she eventually lost her memories that's why she didn't have the slightest idea that Ran's child died.

Months had passed, she couldn't find another job and ended up bumping into Rindou at the bar as One Night Stand happened. That was the time she mistook Rindou as her ex; Ran, who cheated on her.

Weeks had passed, and she realized that she was pregnant and due to dizziness caused by the alcohol that night, she thought that it was Ran who she make up with since they look like.

The fact that Rindou was also drunk and wasted that night made it worst.

Y/n let a sigh out thinking how this matter turned more than complicated.

"You can finally be at ease, Rindou."

"The girl from your past was actually me."

"Yeah, I hope he's doing well."

Y/n titled her head to look from behind who is it, turns out it was Ran.

"Y/n"

"Will you... let me take care of my nephew, just like how my brother did?"
