Chapter Thirteen Ava
When i was young, i don't remember daydreaming and thinking about my future like other young children.
LIAR I WAS THERE.
Okay maybe that was quite a lie, there was a certain age and time that i have dreamt and wondered of my future career and passions. But that was a long time ago, probably when i was still living in the Moretti's household. Which is a long time ago. But of course, along maturity came dream crushing.
I remember thinking, why waste my time dreaming of things that will probably never succeed. If something is meant to be, then it will come running to me. so why the hell should i waste my time?
She's got a point..
If i where to daydream again of what will happen after highschool and what I'll pursue in college, i would definitely not be daydreaming about being a BODYGUARD.
Don't get me wrong, bodyguarding seems fun, but it's certainly not for me.
But I won't lie, being with Edeline was kind of fun. The way she'd ramble about random things and how mine and her fashion sense is absolutely stunning, while telling me everything i need to know to 'survive' in this school is adorable.
Yes it's me i used the word adorable. Very unlikely for me. I know.
I also wasn't that naïve to not notice the way she gets way more quiet when someone is near, she's introverted and shy but she certainly wasn't like that with me at first glance, which is quite odd since I don't look that welcoming.
You definitely don't.
I admit, it was a bit hard to get her attention when she's not looking at me and has her hearing aids off. But it was certainly something that i could get past.
But nevertheless i have learned from the absolute random rambles from Edeline that apparently, the plastic barbie wannabe wasn't actually the queen bee, or whatever you call it nowadays.
This was one of her minions, that she apparently gives a job to do for every single one of her lapdogs.
I was actually surprised, how not cliche this is. Since in every book you read there's the dumbass queen bee that will be brought down by the main character in one or two scenes and never appear again.
Someone's been reading Wattpad...
But this time, the queen bee is much more cunning and smart. Which is actually pretty fine with me, since any smart person would know not to mess with me.
