Stella and I sat there for hours under the stars, playing each other songs and talking about music and songwriting. When it got late, she offered to drive me home. I agreed.

She lead me to where her car was parked. It was a small, brown, unassuming little thing. "You drive... that?" I said in surprise. "I thought you would ride in a limousine or something."

She wrinkled her nose up in distaste. "No way," she said. "Not my style. I like to get myself around. Plus, you can fit more gear in the boot than you'd expect."

When I got back home, everyone else was asleep. My parents didn't really care about me coming home late, and it would have been a bad idea to wake them. I headed straight for my room to unpack my bag. Drink bottle, deodorant... CD. I suddenly realised that I had never looked at it after she signed it.

I flicked it open and gasped. There was more than just a signature. She'd written a whole paragraph.

Lucy-

Thank you so much for all the love and support. It's so great to finally meet you!! Love what you do- you're so talented. Shine bright. Let the music take you away. And ALWAYS stay true to who you are. Don't change for anyone.

- Stella xX

I smile as I place the CD carefully, lovingly, on my bedside table. Then I get ready for bed.
