I GLANCED AT the scoreboard silently analysing the point difference between both opposing sides
Hinata / Kageyama - 11
Tsukishima / Yamaguchi - 16
All of us at the side watched with anticipation about what Hinata and Kageyama were planning on doing— Well, rather, they were anticipating what the two might do. All I did was bite my tongue harshly in order to stop myself from spoiling about the match's outcome
Kageyama was focusing solely on the game, a sighed left his lips and his eyes were fully shut. The third year captain served the ball to the other side of the net and was received by Tanaka who passed it to Kageyma
'THIS IS IT!'
He threw the ball towards Hinata's way and as the ball hit his palm I could almost feel myself choking on my own breath, not expecting the effect of seeing their play with my own eyes. Hinata spiked the ball— he did it!
With the loud thump of the ball on the floor, my attention had snapped back to reality. The court was so quiet that I could even hear myself when a laugh of disbelief escaped my lips. They were all flabbergasted
Kei was frozen— such an amazing view to see him be so surprised
Hinata well...
"It hit... IT HIT MY HAND!" Hinata stared at his right palm in disbelief before erupting into cute giggles
"He's overreacting" Kei said trying to hide his surprised state. That alone was enough to make me laugh, not mocking him but finding his reaction somehow amusing— my action of course caught his attention
"Kei didn't you see it? His eyes were closed" Daichi and I said at the same time, which earned everybody's attention all of them not being able to comprehend what we just said
"What do you mean?"
" Hinata's eyes were close from the moment he jumped to when he swung" The captain explained
