HAWKS THOUGHT THAT THE RAID ON the Hassaikai had been handled decently. Not perfectly (too much destruction for that), but it was an alright series of actions that lead to a satisfactory outcome.
Now if only the Commission would be off his back about this case. He didn't even participate but they were making demands about things he hadn't even been debriefed and of which he had a vague understanding.
He hated it.
He could, in the privacy of his own mind, affirm that the Commission's board of directors was collectively sharing one braincell between the lot of them. Their incessant nagging couldn't be explained otherwise.

The only option left was that she'd been missing for some time. Her disappearance being sometime between those two Yuuei interns saw her and the raid itself. About three weeks, give or take a few days.

Eri. Eri一 where had he heard that name before?
("We'll meet up later. I have to wait for Eri's babysitter to get here.")

The world had to be playing a cruel joke on him. It just had to.
If not, well... Things were about to get messy.
