Part 13 Doubt
Arnav looked at laughing NK.
*Will you be here in the evening? * Arnav asked.
*Don't you want me to be here? * NK asked.
Arnav nodded yes.
*Ok... I won't*
*Thanks...*
*Do you want anything, Bhai? *
*No... I don't want anything* Arnav said.
*Ok, then... I have to go to the police station to inquire about ASR...* NK said seriously.
Arnav chuckled.
In the evening, NK went off, as per their plan. Arnav waited for Khushi. Didn't she say, she will help him to walk in the evening? Will she come? He was looking at the entrance again and again expecting her to come.
The late evening
Here, she is... She came and stood in front of him. Arnav looked at her raising his head. She helped him to sit, turning towards her. She slowly made him keep his legs down.
*Hiss* Arnav intentionally said expecting her to react to it.
*It pains... you have to tolerate it... you have no other choice...* Khushi said.
Arnav nodded ok.
She helped him to stand. It pained a lot more than what Arnav expected. He closed his eyes, gritting his teeth. Khushi Felt bad for him. Taking his hand, she made him circle her neck.
*Take slow steps* She instructed.
Arnav started moving slowly. The pain in his leg killed him. It was equal to the same pain when he fell into the dark forest. He controlled his eyes from tearing up. Khushi made him sit on the chair.
*Take a few minutes of rest* Khushi said.
Arnav looked at his leg which was shivering. Khushi kneeled in front of him and clutched the shivering leg softly. That touch soothed his pain.
*You will be alright soon* she said.
*I will be alright if you are with me Khushi* Arnav said.
Khushi bowed down said nothing.
*You have not answered me yet... don't you like me? *
*I like you... but...*
Cutting her,
*...don't love me...right? *
*Arnavji, you know nothing about our lifestyle. We are very simple people. I don't know how to make you understand that*
*I don't deny our lifestyles are different... I didn't even know there is a lifestyle in the world like this... but I don't think the difference between us can keep us away from each other*
