Part 35 Surprise
The next morning 4'o clock
Arnav and Khushi were ready to go to Nainital but Anjali was not there.
"Arnavji, where is Anjaliji?" Khushi asked looking here and there in a searching manner.
"She is not coming with us" Arnav said simply.
"But why?" disappointment sounded in her tone.
"She is going with Nani and Mami somewhere" Arnav said.
"Oh..." she said unhappily.
"What happened, Khushi?" Arnav asked.
Khushi nodded no plastering a smile. She thought she can take Anjali to her house and introduce her to her parents. So that, her parents would start trusting Arnav's words. Shashi and Garima will surely ask about Raizadas when they go to Nainital. They would expect Raizadas to visit Nainital. Being parents of a girl, it's obvious if they expect the first STEP from the Groom's side.
"Shall we go, Khushi?" Arnav asked.
Khushi nodded ok and followed Arnav. They got into the car and buckled them with the seatbelts. The early morning road of Delhi didn't have a traffic problem. So, Arnav geared the car up. That's why he started from Delhi early in the morning. He can drive the car freely if he crossed Delhi before it gets traffic flow.
"I thought Nanne would like to come to Nainital with us," Khushi said.
"I have been assigned an important job for him," Arnav said.
"Oh..."
"Won't you ask me what work I assigned for him?" Arnav asked her.
"You said it's an important work... what's there to question you about it?"
"Don't you want to know what the important work is?" he asked.
"it's not necessary to ask you anything. You will let me know if it's something I should know" She said smiling.
Arnav also smiled. Khushi and NK are same. Though they are close to him they don't take advantage of him and the respect and trust they are showing in him is something mindboggling. Arnav smiled.
Khushi slowly started, talking.
"Arnavji... how is Sheetalji?"
Arnav got struck. What would he tell about SheetalJI?
"SheetalJI would be fine... what happened to her?" he asked as if he knew nothing.
"Don't you know where she is?" she asked him hesitatingly.
"I know," Arnav said.
Khushi was looking at him, expecting him to complete the sentence.
"Didn't you say, I will tell you if I want you to know about something?" he cornered her wither own words.
Khushi nodded yes.
"I don't think you should know about her," Arnav said, not looking at her.
"Would you punish her?" she asked nervously.
"Would I forgive her?" he asked without answering her question.
"No... I didn't mean it. Shyamji will get upset with you..."
"Let him be upset..." he said rigidly.
"But, Arnavji..."
"Khushi, I'm ready to face anything regarding... ok?"
