Chapter 9

I opened my eyes slowly, and saw a doctor standing over me. I looked around the room, and saw I was in a hospital. I felt pain in my leg I could feel it still throbbing, but I saw some ice had been laid on it. I can't believe I broke my leg fighting ugh this is not good at all.

"Well hello I'm Dr. Rodriguez how is your leg?" Dr. Rodriguez ask

"Uhh it still hurts, but I'm fine."

"Ok good just keep the ice on it for now your parents should be here soon."

"Uh parents? You called my parents already."

"Yes we are required too"

"Oh no"

"Is there something wrong?"

"Ugh it's nothing I'm fine"

"Oook, but I have some people in the waiting room wanting to see you. I didn't know if you wanted to be bothered or not so I told them I would ask you."

"No its fine let them in"

"Ok"

The doctor left, and came back with my friends Sara, Kayla, Amber, and following behind them was Marcus.

"Oh my gosh Rose are you ok?" Sara ask sounding scared

"I'm fine girl my leg just still hurts, but I got ice on it." I say in a sleepy voice I was tired

"I got so scared, and nervous when I saw that ambulance rush away with you." My friend Kayla say almost shaking

"Yeah, but we wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for this nigga here." Another friend of mine named Amber say punching Marcus in his arm then pushing him into a wall.

"Hey what the fuck? Calm your ass down Amber damn." Marcus say getting off the wall

"Don't tell me to calm down this is all your fault. Your the reason my friend is in the hospital right now." Amber shout in his face

"Ok y'all" I shout trying to calm everyone down

"Listen I know you all care about me, and I really appreciate it, but really I'm fine ok. Y'all don't gotta beat up Marcus for me."

I didn't want anyone else to hurt or get at Marcus, because that was my job. Even though I just broke my leg that doesn't mean I'm going to stop doing my list. I'm not stopping until its done.

"Thank you" Marcus say huffing, and puffing

"Rose??" My mom say busting into the room

"Oh shit" I thought to myself

"Rose what happened? You told me you was going to Ashley house to help her study." My mom say sitting at the end of my bed

"Yeah about that" I say biting my fingernails

"You lied? Why? How did you hurt your leg" She say staring at my wrapped leg with ice over it

"I went to go fight" I confess

"Fight?? What?

"Yeah"

"Why were you fighting? Who did you fight?"

"Its his fault" Sara shout pointing at Marcus then giving him a stank look

"Who's?" My ma say turning around

Marcus tried slipping out the door, but Amber caught him. Then she took his arm, and pulled him to the middle of the floor, dropping him facing my mom.

"This the nigga who broke your daughter leg." Sara say hitting him on the side of his head

"Get yo hands off of me" Marcus say snatching Amber hand off him
