Chapter 98

The winged countries continued on. Indonesia still held his sharp weapon and Poland his sword.
"Where do we go?"Wales asked, "we've been walking forever." He flapped his wings restless.
"I just miss Bulgaria. I wonder if she's ok,"Romania thought.
"Hopefully we don't encounter any of the gooish stuff,"Kazakhstan said.
Mexico nodded in agreement.
"When did you have wings?"Poland asked,raising a brow in question.
"Since I was born,"Mexico answered jokingly smug.
"Ha ha,"Poland said in a slight monotone.
A green blur stopped them and Indonesia said, "You guys should pay more attention."
They saw he had attacked another yellow lump that had camouflaged into the slimy body.
"Alright,"Wales sighed. "Let's hurry forward then."

"Is this a good idea?"ASEAN asked.
"Yes it is,"EU nodded.
"But, it's your idea."
"Exactly."
UNICEF mentally facepalmed.
"Your idea is to go down, with UN and BRICS at the other side and to drive it up to the surface. Do you know how much destruction it would ensue?"ASEAN's exasperated tone was in his voice.
"Thanks for thinking logically,"UNICEF said. "But its the best idea we've got. If we attack underground we will have no space to run if it decides to attack."
Germany stood near the cracks.
Iran looked at him. "Don't worry. Poland will be alright."
Germany sighed.
Iran could only look in sympathy.
"Alright, I'm going in!"EU announced, Germany, Iran and UNICEF watching while ASEAN facepalmed.
       EU leaped down.
"It's slippery but it's safe!"they heard EU announce dramatically.
     ASEAN just shook his head and jumped down, followed by UNICEF.
       Germany and Iran went downward, following after. They were greeted by yellow slimy ground.
     "Well, what are you waiting for?"EU shouted over to them, "Let's go!"
     He marched off, the others trailing behind him.
EU and the others held Irritating Sticks.
     UN gave it to them and refused to tell them how he had them. (Ok fine, he made them to irritate ASEAN but shhhh)
      "On three!"UNICEF said. "One, two, three!"
In one they all lightly tickled the sticks on the ground. At first it seemed to have no effect, but when they did it more faster the ground shook.
      The shriek was heard again, but they continued. At the very far end they heard a small thud.
       It wriggled underneath them furiously. All of a sudden it charged up, so fast they barely moved out of the way.
       The organizations flew the two countries up and quickly placed them on the ground.
     "Geez its hideous!"EU exclaimed.
"Reminds me of you,"ASEAN said.
     "Excuse me?!"
They presumed it to be the face, but in reality it had no eyes. Imagine this, a huge yellow worm and where the head was suppose to be was a hole that slid flesh inward. Tentacles waved from the edges of the hole.
     The mouth screamed again, launching tentacles everywhere. UN and BRICS ran up to them.
    "It worked!"UN sounded cheerful.
"Yeah, but what do we do next?"ASEAN asked.
    "I've not the slightest idea!"UN grinned.
"We're doomed,"Iran said.
     "I was joking,"UN laughed. "Alright, now that's it up the surface we lead it to the ravine. The scouts did say it was twisted, like a maze-"
    "And we get it trapped in there!"Germany said. "Genius! EU, can you quickly do an accurate sketch of the maze?"
     "Sure can, but not here,"EU said, jabbing at the worm that was screeching like crazy.
     "Right."

They were on the hills, UN managed to get a paper and pencil. Immediately EU scribbled on the paper.
     "Done!"he announced.
Germany did a quick scan, took the pencil and began to connect a line.
    "First here..."He said, he drew a line through in to the center. "And, if it's as long as you say it is..."
      He led the pencil around, aligning with the walls of the drawn ravine. There were slight turns and twists but finally they got the idea.
    "And once it reaches here..."he continued, but Iran said it for him.
    "Then the tail will face the head! And it will be too twisted for it to unwind,"Iran said. "Nice!"
      "Let's memorize the maze and get this show on the road!" EU declared.
