"Words can hurt when people you don't care about say mean things but nothing hurts more then when someone you care about says nothing to hurt you." -

The day was very calm, I only got a few people who came in and ordered just a coffee. The other girl who worked with me was nice. Her name was Grace, she was Rose's granddaughter.

I found it sweet that they worked together.

I wish I could have had a relationship with someone like they have.

The day was coming to an end. Grace left a few minutes ago. I turned the sign to close and started cleaning up. About half an hour later everything was done.

The street lights were on due to it being dark outside already.

I guess I'm walking in the dark.

Just great.

I grabbed my stuff and started walking down the street. Everything that I once had I had no idea what happened to it when Kai kidnapped me. So I was left without a car.

I walked for about five minutes before I started feeling weird. It was the same feeling I got when I was first kidnapped. I turned around to look and saw nothing.

I'm probably just paranoid.

I continued to walk till I felt someone grab me. I turned around to see my father standing in front of me.

No. No. No.

This can't be happening.

I went to run but was knocked off my feet by a body that stood in front of me. I turned around to face my father again. "Please father, just leave me alone. I don't want to be an assassin or whatever the fuck you want me for." He chuckled. "So you finally figured it out."

I kicked the man behind me and started throwing punches. He fell to the ground and when I looked up more and more men showed up. I fought most of them till I felt a pair of hands wrap around my neck.

My father walked over to me with a wicked smirk. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pill. He placed it on his finger and shoved it in my mouth.

It was too late, the pill had already gone down my throat. "Say goodnight shadow."

I felt my body become limp. My eyes started to close till I was met with darkness.

I opened my eyes the slightest bit. My head hurt and my body wasn't able to move. I opened my eyes to see that I was strapped in the seat of a jet. My hands were tied together as well as my legs.

I looked around, the jet was dark. "You're awake, I thought they killed you." A voice I didn't recognize spoke. I turned to my left to see a man sitting next to me with a phone in his hand and his feet crossed.

He was maybe in his early 30 or so, he had dark black hair that rested on his head. A white and black suit on his well built frame. He had tattoos on his hands and crisp white straight teeth.

"Who are you?" I managed to say. My head is still light, and my eyes are adjusting to the light. "My name is Xavier, I'm your father's right hand."

Did I hear him right? My father's like in his middle 40s. "You look quite young to be his right hand." He chuckled. " I'm 27 and yes I am, my father was killed a few years ago and your father needed a right hand man that he could trust, so in honor of my father I took his place." I nodded. "I'm sorry about your father."

The man smiled. "Thank you, Miss. Vega, your kindness is well appreciated." This man talks very politely.

"What happened? Where am I going?" He sighed. "I'm sorry Miss. Vega, but I can not give you that information. You will have to speak to your father." I sighed and leaned back in the chair. "I can tell you that your father has been trying to find you for a year now though."

I looked at Xavier. "I know he texted me a couple of days ago." He nodded. "Would you like something to drink? You look parched." I nodded. "Yes please."

"What can I get you?"

"Water, if you don't mind." He smiled and got up and walked to a mini fridge that was over to the side. He pulled out a water bottle and brought it to me. "Oh yeah, I forgot your hands are tied up." I watched as he took the cap of the water bottle and brought it to my lips. "Here." I took a sip letting the cold refreshing water run down my throat. He took the water away and a small drop of water ran over my lips.

Xavier took his thumb and ran it over my lips wiping the water away.

He sat the water on the table and sat down back in his seat.

I looked down at my tied up hands and the bruises that were around them. I sighed and tried to close my eyes again.

The mic came on and the pilot started talking. "We will be landing in Las Vegas in 5 minutes. Everyone please remain in your seats, please and thank you."

Las Vegas?

We're landing in Vegas!!!

I turned to look at Xavier, he didn't even make eye contact with me.

The jet landed and Xavier got up and untied the rope that was keeping me in the chair. He grabbed my arms and we walked out of the jet. I looked around to see a car parked to the right. He walked to it and opened the door pushing me through.

He followed shortly after. I still haven't seen my father, which was weird. The car drove and I looked out the window at the lights and people.

Clubs and casinos were everywhere.

We pulled up to a dark house. The driveway has expensive cars parked to the side.

We got out of the car and Xavier walked me to the doors. Once they opened I was met with black everything. From black marbled floors to chandeliers.

Xavier walked me down a flight of stairs, each step that I took started to get colder. Cement lined the walls, people screaming filled my ears. "What's happening?" Xavier didn't answer.

He opened a door to a room that had a bathroom and a bed. He left me in there and shut the door leaving me alone in this disgusting cold dark room.

Hours passed of me sitting in the room till I heard steps coming closer and closer to the door.

Suddenly the door opened harshly. My father is standing in front of me with an evil smile. "You didn't think I wasn't going to find you, did you?" He chuckled. I rolled my eyes.

I watched as his facial expression became angry. He walked over to me and grabbed me by the hair pulling me out of the room and into another. He threw my weak body on the cement floor and walked over to a wall.

I heard what sounded like locks being unlocked. My father grabbed me and slammed me on the wall. Chains were tied tightly on my wrists making my feet just barely touch the ground. He walked over to a table and put on a pair of leather gloves.

This can't be good.

"I think you need a reminder of what happens when you disrespect me." His fist clenched and connected with my face over and over again. Tears ran down my face.

He sent multiple punches to my rib making me gasp for air. I cried and whimpered at the feeling. With every hit, every swing, he chuckled like a damn sociopath.

I bagged and screamed, but he didn't seem to care, he liked hearing me suffer. I couldn't take it any longer. A knife was shoved in my shoulder and that was enough for my body to give out. I could handle it anymore.

My head hung down, my body slumped. My feet were covered in my own blood that was dripping from the knife injected into my arm. Este es solo el comienzo, Aurora. Tú mismo te trajiste esto. Te convertirás en mi asesino personal, y serás el bueno en eso, si no el mejor. (This is just the start, Aurora. You brought this on yourself. You will become my personal assassin, and you will be good at it, if not the best.)

Emptiness, hurt, and damage was all I felt till my body went limp.
