The One He Let Go

Day 2.

The next following day I met with Susan again, in the park like last time. I saw her reading the same book Loren took and threw at her.

I walked towards Susan with confidence, trying not to overreact on how beautiful She looked while reading her book, I sat right beside her.
While I sat beside Susan, Her legs and hands became unstable, while her face turned red as well.

I though Susan was sick ... so I ran to the nearest public restroom. Once I came out of the public restroom with a cold wet rag to set on Susan's head, I saw Susan from a distance on the ground.

Demi&Loren were both kicking Susan's ribs while Susan was on her stomach... I remember seeing Susan's hands on her head, crying, and yelling my name repeatedly. I ran towards Susan yelling her name, I ran as fast as I could to reach her, even though i got tired... I still kept running. Demi was kicking Susan's head, until Loren saw me running towards her and Demi.

Loren pushed Demi back from kicking Susan's head, Demi pushed Loren back making Loren fall on the ground. Demi couldn't stop hitting Susan, it looked like whatever problem Demi had was really horrible. Loren got up quickly while dragging Demi away from Susan.

Once I reached Susan, Demi&Loren were out of sight. I again said sorry to Susan because I was too late, I got on my knees looking down at Her while she was laying down flat. When I was saying sorry, I looked at Her rib sides and asked if she could lift her shirt up so I can see how bad the hit Demi&Loren left her.

She looked at me... face full of scratches and her book was full of blood like if Demi&Loren shoved it in her face while hitting Susan ... I wondered what and how Susan's book was full of blood ... because I came out of the public restroom late, I only saw Susan on the ground flat on her stomach.

While She was on the ground, I wrapped Her in my arms,picking her up in my arms. Susan was crying in pain, having one hand over my shoulder and the other on her side .

She talking to herself saying " Why does it have to be me ... that suffers for the other peoples actions ... "...

Her eyes watered up looking at me ... she blinked... tears came rushing down her cheeks ...

I sat down still having her in my hands kissing her forehead saying "don't worry, no matter what, I'll be here to pick you up every time you fall..."

That's when She looked at me, giving me a side smile until I felt her heart beat .......skip a beat ........
