The One He Let Go

Day 1.The Day I Met Susan.

Hey, I am Xavier. My best friend is Susan. Susan is brilliant and beautiful. Many people try and put her down. I saw how much pain she was struggling and going through. I found it unfair how a group of people would treat her so cruel, when Susan wouldn't do anything to bother any of them.

When I first met Susan, I was in the Park. I would always go there, just to read. It's not like I used to go but now since Susan went looking very cute to the park, that I decided to go to the park more often.

Anyways when I would go to the park I would see Susan reading. That day while she was reading a girl named Demi with a rude attitude and her friend Loren, both yelled at Susan . Loren grabbed the book waving it in the air, Susan stood up really quick jumping for her book. Once Susan jumped again, Demi pushed her back, while Loren threw the book hard at her chest, walking away laughing leaving Susan on the floor.

Susan sat up still on the ground holding her book like it was the only thing she had left. Tears running down her dark blue/green eyes. Gasping for air from the pain Loren left Susan with when Loren threw the book at Susan.

I walked her way, she quickly looked at me and got up, getting ready to run. I quickly took action and called her by her name ...

I took no hesitation and said, "Susan wait."

Susan turned the other way crying looking down saying, "I'm sorry... for what ever I did to you. Please just leave me alone I don't want to get hit again .. I'm already in enough pain ...",

I said, "You never did anything to me."

Susan's eyes filled up with tears rushing down her cheeks, when Susan replied saying "I know. I never do anything to anyone, but yet they always blame me."

My hands turned into a fist, I couldn't believe that she was getting beaten for a dumb reason. Susan started to wipe her tears while repeatedly saying sorry ...

I asked Susan to quit apologizing, I lost my self and walked towards her saying I was sorry ... Susan asked me why, why I was sorry ... I hugged her saying I was sorry while my eyes filled up with water ... She gasped and started to cry pushing me back ...
She dropped her book and hugged her stomach crying, bursting in tears yelling in pain ...

I said "I'm sorry ... Sorry for not helping you .. When Demi & Loren were treating you so horrible, and ... And I was just watching you instead of helping you ...",

Tears ran down my face while more began to come out saying sorry again because I knew she was hurt, and hugging her so tight that her ribs probably burn ... Susan puts one hand on my chest looking down crying, and the other hand hugging her stomach because she was still in pain .

I was trying not to get nervous because she had her hand on my chest ... I was trying to wipe my tears off my eyes just to see her ...

Susan than put both hands on my chest while still looking down ...gasping... I stepped alittle closer to her and her hands slid to the back of my back ...

I hugged Susan softly and Susan hugged me while crying. I put my chin on Susan's head and Susan hugged me tight while crying ...
