Astrid's POV / Your POV:

"Astrid! Wake the fuck up!" My dad shouted. That wasn't unusual; this is how I usually wake up. Almost every single day. I stayed in bed for a couple more seconds and finally decided to get out of bed. When I got out of bed, I stretched and quickly pulled the covers over my bed.

I had almost forget, it was the first day at my new school. Great. Just great. I decided I didn't want to dress up too fancy, so I got out some ripped jeans, a white t-shirt, a black sweater and my black high top converse. I quickly did my makeup, I didn't want to go overboard with that either. I just put on some foundation, blush and mascara.

I sped down the stairs and quickly fixed myself up some breakfast. I made myself a piece of toast and grabbed myself a glass of water. I grabbed my school bag and headed out the door.

"Bye dad, love you" I said - I didn't get an answer back, like usual.

It wasn't a long walk to school, about 13 minutes, to be exact. I passed by many other kids on my way to school, I couldn't imagine being friends with them though. Some were a lot prettier than me and wouldn't even notice me. Some were a lot nerdy than me.

I had finally made my way to school. I stopped in my steps and stared at the school for a couple of seconds; it felt longer than it was. When I was finally ready to head in, I took a deep breath and continued walking. I passed by many people, again more people I couldn't imagine being friends with.

I wasn't paying attention when I bumped into some boy, he was really cute.

"Oh my god. I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-"

He laughed and cut me off.

"Hey, don't worry about it. It's okay. You must be new around here I've never seen you. Oh yeah, I'm Grayson! You are?"

Grayson. He was cute. He had light brown fluffy hair. He had green eyes, they reminded me just of the forest and I love the forest. He was tall and lean. He sure did look tough though.

"I'm Astrid, sorry again."

I looked at him and smiled, I blushed a little too.

"So what class do you have first?" He looked at me and asked.

"Uh I think English, yeah English."

"Really? Me too! I can show you round, we can even meet my other friends later." He said in a friendly tone of voice. Now, I can imagine being friends with him.

We started walking to class and I had a huge smile on my face and so did he.

"So when did you move to Tulsa?" He asked, he was trying to engage in a conversation so it wouldn't be awkward.

"Oh, not too long ago actually. I think maybe two or three weeks ago."

"I've been here my whole life!" He looked at my and laughed, I laughed back.

We finally reached our class. Grayson sat down next to me. I was glad, I didn't want to sit next to someone I haven't met yet.

"This teacher is a bitch, just a warning." Grayson whispered to me, we both giggled silently.

Throughout class we didn't pay any attention to the lesson, we just fooled around. The teacher called us out for it a couple of times though. We didn't care, we just continued. I'm not into writing an essay anyways, or learning how to write perfect paragraphs. They just don't appeal to me, nothing in school really does, to be honest.

I finished all my morning classes, Grayson was only in two of them which was English and Science. My Science teacher was cool, I actually paid some attention in his class. My gym teacher isn't that bad, I guess. I did participate in his class and it wasn't all that boring. At least it's finally lunch now.

At lunch I met up with Grayson, of course. He said I would meet his friends after school. Hopefully they're like Grayson, people I can actually get along with.

Grayson and I found a table and sat down. He asked me questions about my day and I asked about his. He was also asking me how I liked it here in Tulsa, my interests, etc. One question in specific that he asked me made me think.

"You seem like a cool person, Astrid! I have another question, sorry if all these questions are annoying you. But uh, have you ever been in a gang?"

A gang? I thought, why did he want to know that? I've heard of some gangs back at where I used to live but was never apart of any. They did kind of interest me though..

"No, I haven't. I've heard of some gangs back at where I used to live. Being in a gang does kind of interest me though." I said, as I looked at him in the eyes with confusion.

"Ahh, I see. I understand, yeah they are quite interesting." He said trying to hide the fact that he was apart of a gang himself.

Grayson quickly changed the subject. I kept thinking. Gangs.. Maybe I would be interested in joining a gang.

The bell rang and we had to head to our last classes. I had history last period; my least favourite class. I hate history, it's so boring! It makes me just want to fall asleep. The whole time I was either day dreaming or fidgeting with my fingers and soon enough the dismissal bell rang.

FINALLY SCHOOL WAS OVER.

I met Grayson outside of the school and followed him to behind the school.

"Hey guys! I want you to met someone, this is Astrid!" Grayson said with a HUGE smile on his face, he blushed as well!

"Hello, Astrid. It's nice to meet you. I'm Wyatt, Wyatt Finch."

Wyatt, he looked tough. I would say he was about 5'10. He was pretty tough and I bet he has quite the good build too. He had brown hair that wasn't short-short but it was short-ish. It was kind of curly as well. His eyes were brown like dark chocolate; he was quite good looking.

"Nice to meet you all." I smiled at them.

"You seem like a nice person, Astrid. I'm Gabriel but you can call me Gab." He looked over and smiled at me.

Gabriel looked sweet, his smile was so cuteee! He had goldish brown hair that parted to the side. He was tall and lean. His smile was contagious, I smiled back at him. He was quite charming.

"Astrid, I think it is.. Are you interested in being apart of a gang?" One of them asked.

He had blonde hair with a couple pieces of a light, light brown colour. He has greenish blue eyes. They stood right out. His eyes are so pretty.

The gang thing again? They're up to something, I thought to myself.

"Uh yeah, I am. If it's okay, why may I ask?"

"We have our own gang. We're known as the Vipers. We're actually looking for a recruit." Gabriel said.

"Are you kidding? We cant let a girl in the gang! She will be a target, we all know that!" One of them said as he raised his voice. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was tall and looked like he'd be an amazing fighter, he was for sure tough.

"You're right, Jack.. We don't want her getting hurt." Wyatt said with a very serious tone of voice.

"Aw c'mon, please! I want to join! I'm interested now!" I pleaded with them.

"I'm sorry Astrid, you'll be a target." The blonde one said. I soon figured out his name was Arlo.

"Please I can prove that I'm the right recruit! C'mon please! Pleaseee!" I did the puppy dog eyes and looked up at Grayson.

"I-I'm sure she can do it guys! C'mon let's give her a chance! I'm sure she can!" Grayson said as he also started pleaded with everyone.

"I mean, we can give her a chance.. I just hope she won't be a target." Wyatt sighed, as he looked at me.

"Yay! Thank you, thank you!"

We all smiled. I felt good.

"Well c'mon, follow me, guys." Jack said, we all followed him.
