Flynn's POV:

Elle. Her nickname. It felt so personal. Why had she told me her name was Giselle? Why did Blake get to call her Elle? I noticed immediately that Blake coined Elle's beauty. I couldn't blame him and I hadn't told him of my little... infatuation with her yet. I knew if I told Blake about how I felt he'd never look at her again. But, I wasn't quite ready to tell anyone. I wasn't even sure of how I felt. I mean I know nothing about her. She could be a sociopath or a serial killer. I guess this means I have to get to know her better.

The day dragged, but finally ended. I wasn't one to linger around after 2 pm, but my sister was quite the opposite. I sighed and forced myself to walk to her locker so that she wouldn't go crazy on me for not waiting for her. When I approached, I saw that Elle was there chatting with her. My heart caught in my throat as I whipped myself back around the corner. I peeked around the wall and saw my sister grabbing Elle's phone and giving her her number. How has my sister gotten her number before me? Elle let out a small smile over whatever Cass showed her, then waved a goodbye and left around the corner.

I finally stepped out of my hiding spot and tried to act nonchalant as I made my way over to Cass' locker. "Done eavesdropping and hiding behind walls?" Cass asked me with amusement in her voice. I cleared my throat as a blush rose to my cheeks and said "I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. Let's go." With that statement I grabbed her arm and hauled her to the car so we could get home. I had so many new things to add to my drawings. Oh and that dumb party too.

As soon as I arrived home, my mother was waiting for me by the entrance to the foyer. "For the party this year. I was thinking we did a classy masquerade ball. That way I would also be able to invite some people that I've been meaning to do business with." my mother said this to me as we walked down the hall towards the kitchen. "That sounds fine. But I don't have a mask to wear and I don't think Cass has anything either." I said feigning concern although I didn't really care. "I'll have you two go shopping this weekend. I want Juliette to tag along with you guys as well. I want you to invite her parents to the party as well." At those words I actually began to pay attention to her. "Mother... you know I don't particularly care for spending time with Juliette if I don't have to. Please don't make me hang out with her if I don't have to." "Well you have to. I need to speak to her parents and they won't take kindly to you ignoring her. You know what you have to do. I have been lax with you, but you're still a prince and you still have duties that need attending to." she says all of this while checking over a list of decorations and party platters that needed to be ordered for the ball. With a dejected sigh I mutter "Fine. I'll ask her tomorrow at school. Or maybe, Cass can do it. That'll save me a lot of time." My mother clucks her tongue then waves her hand as if to say "please get out of my space".

I leave the room and head up to my room. I throw my backpack down and grab my sketchpad. I start to add some new details to an old drawing I had been working on for forever and adding a bit of color. I flip through the pages and look over my old drawings that I now considered to be horrible. Of course my flipping eventually leads to my rough sketch of Giselle. The pad of my finger traces over her face, which makes the pencil smudge a bit. I curse under my breath and quickly begin to erase the smudges and add more small things that I noticed when I saw her up close today. I work well into the night until I eventually fall asleep with the drawing underneath my cheek.
