Not paying attention to the colour you picked out, you put the paper on your lap and continued to play the PS3 game with Matt. The moment you saw you were winning, you were promptly yanked off the couch by Mello and dragged to the closet. Cursing and screaming at Mello the whole time, the struggling stopped once you were thrown in and you realized you couldn't do anything about your situation. You got up and noticed someone else had come in. Just as the door closed, the last sliver of light glinted off orange-tinted goggles sitting atop brown hair. You knew exactly who it was; he was your best friend.

"Guess they got you too, huh, Matt?"

"Yup, stupid Mello," he grumbled. From what you could see, his arms were crossed and he was leaning back against the wall.

"You won the game, didn't you?" you asked, pouting. Matt's lips twitched upwards and you heard him chuckle.

"Of course, I'm better than you," he snorted. A fiery blaze began to grow within you as a heated debate started. Many insults passed between both of you and the subject soon changed from gaming to dating in minutes. That's where he hit a nerve.

"At least I can hold a relationship longer than a week," he smirked. You growled at him, clenching your fists at your side as your face turned red.

"Shut up," you muttered, conceding to him. You knew no relationship you went into would last long because you never liked the guys, and none of them were ever patient enough to deal with your constant mood swings. On top of that, you were in love with someone else. Matt. And you didn't want to tell him, be rejected, and then ruin your friendship. No, you weren't going to let that happen if you could help it. Or so you hoped. Matt just had to ask the question you didn't want to answer.

"Why are the so short anyways?" he asked.

"Huh? The guys or the relationships?" you questioned, puzzled. He laughed.

"The relationships," he said, serious now and looking directly into your eyes. He moved forward and raised a hand to brush a strand of hair behind your ear. "Why do you bother?"

You kept silent, twisting your face from where his smooth fingers had moved down to your cheek. You didn't want him  to feel how arm your face got when he came close. He leaned in closer to whisper, "Is it because you donn't want someone to know you like him?" You froze.

"N-no," you stuttered, trying not to sound nervous. Damn, because that's not obvious, you mentally cursed yourself. You attempted to move away from Matt, but he caged you in by leaning on one forearm and stretching the other across you, resting against the wall. You gulped. He had you trapped.

"Don't lie, ______," Matt murmured. "I know you like someone. Could it be...me?" He nuzzled your cheek with his nose, and then brushed his lips against it. You swallowed again, and decided to tell him, seeing as he pretty much already knew. Your face was hot as you slowly nodded, not looking at Matt. He gave a small laugh, turned your head, and planted a passionate kiss on your lips. It took a few seconds for what was happening to click, and when it did, you closed your wide eyes and secured your arms around his neck. His tongue licked at your bottom lip and when you opened your mouth, he quickly entered to explore. You felt his hands travel down to your hips, squeeze them, and then hoist you up so you could wrap your legs around his waist. You ran your fingers through his hair as Matt gripped your thighs and pushed your back harder into the wall. Your tongues wrestled each other until Matt allowed you to win and uncover details of his mouth.

Light filled the space as the door opened and Mello was revealed. Snapping off chocolate, he stared at the both of you. You quickly pulled away, blushing again. Mello yanked the door wider to show the scene to everyone. Wolf whistles sounded as you jumped down from Matt and you walked out together. You kicked Mello in the shin and smirked when he yelped. When you and Matt returned to your game, you sat between his legs, leaning against his warm chest. Lowering his head to your ear, he softly asked, "Wanna go to the arcade with me tomorrow night?"

You grinned and tilted your head backwards to place a gentle kiss on his cheek, murmuring a sweet "Of course" before starting the game.
