3. Lunch With A 'Stranger'

I was walking through the hallways with my head hung low when I bumped into someone.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" the person I bumped into screamed. I touched my forehead and quickly apologized.

"I-I'm sorry. I'm so sorry,"

God, Asuna! Why do you have to be so careless early in the morning?

"Hey... you're Asuna," the person said and this made me look up, only to see Toujou Kin, a known bully in our school.

I literally wanted to scream at myself for causing trouble. Toujou laughed and began nudging his three other friends.

"Walking alone, Asuna? Want us to accompany you?" Toujou asked while smirking sly.

"No. I'm okay," I turned down politely and tried to get away when one of them shove me into the lockers. The sudden action caused me to drop my bag.

"Are you sure?"

I took a deep gulp when I saw him lock me in between his arms.

"Wha- Asuna! Hey!" I looked behind the guy looking at me to see Kirito approaching with the rest of the girls.

"Hey, leave her alone!" Kirito screamed, not until Toujou and his two other friends stood in front of him.

"Kazuto, you're not together anymore. Why would you care?" I saw Kirito's fist clench.

"The way you're treating her is unacceptable and disgusting," he said while gritting his teeth. He tried to strike forward but Toujou's friends were quick enough to predict his movement and went behind him. One of them grabbed Kirito's arms and locked them behind his back then pushed him to the ground.

"Very nice," Toujou said and approached me.

"Hey! Leave her!" Kirito yelled.

"Asuna!" Lisbeth shouted and tried to approach me when the other guy stood in front of them.

"Stay out if you don't want to be next," Lisbeth gritted her teeth and looked around. She felt disgusted seeing as no one tried to stand up but just watch all of this happen.

"Come on, Asuna. Just follow us,"

"N-Never-"

I was surprised when Toujou took over the recent guy who locked me as he slammed his hand on the lockers.

"Lady, you know who I am-"

"Hey!"

The new voice that dived in took all of our attention. We all turned to our left to see a student who was surprisingly close to the scene. He had messy h/c hair and e/c eyes that looked like he just woke up. His bag hanging on one shoulder.

"What?" Toujou asked irritatedly.

"If you don't mind, can you please stop slamming your hand on the lockers? 'Cause, that's my locker actually,"

Toujou huffed at him.

"Stay away, peasant," Toujou looked back at me, while I silently prayed that the student who stepped up would help us.

"Now, where was I-"

"Hey! Just leave her alone!" Lisbeth's voice interrupted Toujou. I looked at my friends and they were trying their best to get through his friend.

"I said stop!" Toujou's friend yelled and pushed Lisbeth to the ground who wince in pain. My eyes widened and felt my blood boiling already.

"Look, Toujou," he stared back at me.
