Chapter 29: Guardian Of Serena

The next day~
(Y/N)'s POV

I woke up with a slight headache. I groaned a little and held my head as i tried to remember what had happened yesterday.

"(Y/N)! You're awake! Thank goodness!" Ray said as he hugged me tightly. "W-what happened?" I asked.

"Well...the queen disguised herself as the old lady and poisoned you" Xander said as he patted my head.

"oh..." I mumbled out. "Are you feeling better? Do you need to eat or drink?" Kanato asked. "Urm...I'm feeling quite hungry and thirsty..." I said as my stomach growled a little.

"Wait...where are we?" I asked as I realized that the walls surrounding us looked like soil.

"We drank the shrinking potion and hid in this hole so that Queen Miranda wouldn't find us" Ray said.

"Come on, let's go find some food" Xander said and we began climbing out of the hole. "Here...eat this..." Ray said and handed me a bottle of little beads.

I ate five beads and returned back to my normal size. I looked down and all of them look so tiny. I gave them the bottle and they grabbed a few beads and ate it.

Soon enough, they all grew back to their normal sizes....and taller than me. "I'll go and look for fruits there!" I said and began walking in that direction.

"I'll come with you!" The three of them said. We all walked to a tree with with candy growing on them. "How weird....do you think its edible?" I asked.

"I suppose so..." Ray said and plucked one. He didn't had to climb it as the tree was short as the shrubs. Ray took a bite and nothing happened so I assume it must be edible.

I plucked a (fav candy) and began to eat it. Then, Xander and Kanato also began eating some. "So sweet..." I said as I munched the candy.

"Too sweet for me..." Ray said as he threw the candy away. "Ive lost my appetite from the sweetness....I'm gonna find some water to drink" Ray said.

"Oh ok! Ill come with you!" I said and skipped to Ray. "We'll come after we're done eating these candy breakfast" Xander said and Kanato nodded.

Me and Ray found a stream with water flowing through it. "Yay! We can drink!" I said as I scooped the water into my hands. "Wait! We need to filter it first" Ray said and stopped me. "You're right" I said.

After he filtered the water, I drank it. "I felt so thirsty..." I said to Ray. "Yeah...me too" Ray said as he drank some.

"Hey...(Y/N)?" Ray said. "Hmm?" I wondered. "What are those bruises on your neck?" He asked. "oh, i- um..." I stuttered, not being able to reply.

"They're hickeys...aren't they?" Ray said as he walked towards me. "Y-Yeah..." I admitted. Suddenly, Ray pushed me to the ground.

He went to my collarbone and began to suck on my collarbone. "A-ah~" I moaned slightly while my face is turning red.

He continued sucking for a few minutes until he finally stopped. "Ouch..." I said as I touched my collarbone gently.

Meanwhile, Ray just smirked at the results. "Hey! We're here!" Kanato shouted as he ran towards us. I quickly covered the hickey with my shirt.

Xander just walked slowly as he looked around. I saw a shimmering stuff from the water and I ran to the stream to check the water.

"Why is it shining?" I asked. "Weird.." Ray said as he inspected closely. Suddenly, a head emerged from the water and I screamed.

I fell back to Ray as I clinged on him tightly. "Oh..sorry..didn't mean to frighten you" The head said.

It then came out from the water and it turns out it was a woman with red hair. "Who are you?" Xander asked.

"I'm the guardian of Serena. You may call me Ariette." she said as she bowed slightly. "Oh...well...my name is (Y/N), that is Ray, and those two are Xander and Kanato" I said.

"Oh..I see. Nice to meet you" she said and give a slight smile. "Um..can you please show us the way to Serena please?" I asked.

"Sure, but why do you want to go there?" She asked. "Well, we have to stay there for a few days before travelling to Japphines and finally to Wavyrie" I said.

"Oh...you must be the heroes that are going to save us all. Please, follow me" she said. "Oh..wait. Youre humans..you can't breathe underwater..." She said.

"Underwater?" I asked curiously. "You see...Serena is an underwater kingdom, where mermaids and aquatic lives live" she said.

"oh..." I said. "Here...eat this" she said and handed us some tear-like looking jewelry. We ate it but couldn't feel a difference.

"The Tear of Myerph can help you breath and speak when you're underwater" she said.

"Oh..thank you!" I said and thanked. "Now follow me..." She said and dived into the water.

The stream was way deeper than it looks. It actually looked like a whole ocean. Her legs turn into a fish tail as she swam faster. It was a beautiful aquamarine color.

"We have to swim through the seaweed garden and the water nymphs' home before reaching Serena" she said.

I tried to catch up with her speed but it was quite hard for me since i don't really swim. Meanwhile, Ray and the others are way ahead of me.

Ray looked behind and swam back to me. "Here..let's swim together" Ray said as he extended his hand. I grabbed it and we began swimming together happily.
